WILMINGTON, Del. — There should have been no question in Hunter Biden's mind about the possibility of a random drug test.

So says the commander of the Norfolk, Va.-based unit where Vice President Joe Biden's youngest son was assigned until his February discharge due to a drug test failure a month after his 2013 commissioning.

"All sailors would be advised of the zero-tolerance policies when reporting aboard," said Capt. Jack Hanzlik, who commands the Navy Public Affairs Support Element based in Norfolk. "And they would be advised of the testing practices of the organization, as well."

The importance of adherence to such policies continues after new arrivals, active or reservists, are assigned to their units.

"We have this kind of conversation with our sailors all the time — about expectations for performance," Hanzlik said. "Expectations for standards. Reliability on one another.

Bush twins caught a lot of flack for drinking under age, Bristol Palin caught a lot flack for getting preggers as a teen...and Dancing with the Stars...bad move. Hunter Biden, son of the V.P. of the U.S. of A, officer in the U.S. Navy, shoves coke up his nose and the late night comics have nothing to say. Then again David Letterman is in the middle of a little scandal of his own right now, he fired his long time cue card guy. THAT story is getting WAY more ink then this little story.

What do we always hear from the Left... family members are OFF LIMITS ! Apparently unless they're young girls, but if it's a grown man who oddly starts his career in his 40's, then is discharged from the NAVY for coke, mum's the word.

Are you saying family members shouldn't be off limits?

I only ask because you brought it up. Just like you brought up Biden's son, who is in fact a family member.

And please explain how the actions of someone's 40-something-year-old son have anything to do with the parents or their job.

Guy sounds like he's got some problems. Wonder if he'll get help.
