That's gotta sting. All the rage, all the vitriol spewed at the President about this, and their own best and brightest couldn't find any evidence of any wrongdoing in the whole Benghazi incident.

That was the real issue. They couldn't make up their minds whether to take the short term and blame Obama or the long term and blame Hillary, to discredit her for 2016. SO they tried to do both.

Unfortunately, this is not true enough. When Boner resigned the Speakership (2013 IIRC) he could have been hung out if the House Republicrats had elected a reasonable person to replace him - but they insisted upon FAILING and re-elected him for another term as Speaker.
