Today's news from Iraq-- insurgents have captured Mosul , the 2nd largest city in Iraq. The Iraqi army and police threw down their weapons and ran away.

Feels like Saigon in 1975-- wait for it-- next scene will be helicopters evacuating from the rooftop of the US Embassy.

The Middle East has got to figure out what it wants its future to be. Going to Iraq was a big mistake. It is what it is now no changing that. We need to be forward thinking ourselves.
