I used to refer to Missouri as a Styrofoam peanut. Hey, I spent many years in the midwest, I know how useless a lot of that area seems. I had a good friend from St. Louis who I liked to tease with the idea that the only purpose Missouri served was to hold up space. (I've been to St. Louis, it's actually a lovely city.)

I will never play that card again.

The Rams picked Michael Sam, an openly gay football player. He barely made the draft because of the bias against gay. But he made it. And kissed his boyfriend. OMG, how can you see the love between these men and not be touched?



Another barrier down. Bring them on!

(Did I ever mention that I played on a hockey team of gay men once? Oh yeah, it's out there. The walls will fall.)
