Hate commercials? Don't bother with this post, okay? I LOVED it!

This Was the Most Successful Commercial of the Super Bowl

Budweiser, their famous Clydesdale horses and a very adorable puppy have claimed the top prize according to a variety of metrics.

Anheuser-Busch’s “Puppy Love” ad, developed by the agency Anomaly, was voted the top commercial during the game by viewers on Hulu. It also earned the top spot on USA Today’s Ad Meter, which is calculated through online surveys of Super Bowl viewers each year. The spot is also dominating the other ads on YouTube, where it has racked up more than 37 million views since Wednesday, and it’s easily lapping the other ads in terms of social activity, according to media metrics firm iSpot. http://business.time.com/2014/02/03/budweiser-puppy-love-super-bowl-co

I've always loved Budweiser commercials. Never even tasted their beer (and from what I've often heard, that's a good thing); nonetheless, I admire their ability to put out an entertaining, quality ad. This one continues their long-standing tradition.

America loves a winner!

There are worse beers to drink, to be sure. But Bud does put out some fine SB ads.

My fav was the bowing Clydesdales from the post 9/11 game.
Second would be " they usually go for two " . And there are others.

Actually, I liked the 2013 ad more -

But, to each their own.

Thanks, Rap; yeah, that was a winner too. I see so few commercials these days, I'm sad I miss the good ones like Bud. Being a "horsophile" and loving the Big Guys, I especially admire the Clydesdales, which I was lucky enough to meet and pet, just once, many years ago when they came to Marin. Magnificent horses...I had never seen one jump before that 2014 commercial; the concept of that huge an animal even being WILLING to jump over something is impressive, to me.

Gonna have to play on YouTube and look for some of their previous commercials, now you've reminded me. Spent the last couple of hours "YouTube-ing" the Beargrease, since some of the folk on the FB urban-mushing page I'm on run it. Oh, what the hell...back atcha, fellow animal lover:

This is a threadjack, but screw it. I posed to the page I mentioned because I was curious about the second sled they're pulling in the beginning of Beargrease. Replies were "Second sled is to keep control and prevent a runaway team going through town. Having done this a few times I'll tell you It kicks ass!" and ", at the start with this many dogs the power can be intense and we need that extra weight and drag to keep control. Especially when you are doing a false start through town with many onlookers." You won't find that surprising, if you watch the video.
