Yanno, hubby went to an horror inner city school that didn't have enough desks (several classes they just sat on the floor) or books and equipment was always being stolen, but that was 35 years ago. Looks like nothing much has changed, especially from the picture....

On another note, I wish the bloody brits would STOP USING STONE WEIGHT ON U.S. ARTICLES!!! Most of the people I know don't keep a "stone conversion chart" handy. Even then I have no frame of reference to it. I should think they have a duty to translate for their readers, instead of leaving 90% reading the thing and go away having no clue what it weighed...

85 pounds, approx. Same size as your average third grader...
