Huh. A couple days ago when our cold snap started and it hit twenty below, our local news was saying that we were actually colder than Antarctica at that point.

Which makes sense to me because it should actually be SUMMER down there right now.

So either a storm came through that dropped some crazy temperatures, or the data used in this news story is suspect.

EDIT: Ah. I see they measured that in July and August, when it was winter. Okay then.

Well I'm officially in summer, and so far its a couple of warm days peppered with colder ones and a load of rain.

okay by me. Last thing I want living in this tinderbox of a region is a long, baking hot dry summer.
