And yet YOU clearly distorted his meaning, not even bothering ( no, deliberately removing) his VERY NEXT SENTENCE. It's called "quoting out of context", something you right wingnuts are often accused of. Even the Standard, biased though they are, gives him his next sentence. None of that should surprise you, NewOld; none of it is new, and it will never change.

For those who don't want to bother with the link, his exact quote was: "Look, I can't speak to the law here," he said. "The law is irrelevant. The activity was outrageous and inexcusable." In other words, he even PREFACED it with the statement that he's not ABLE to speak to the issue of law, that the law ASIDE, EVEN IF IT WAS LEGAL, it was outrageous and inexcusable. Shows just how far some are willing to reach to try and make a point which is actually the exact opposite of what the person quoted made.
