Okay, here's one thing I been watching with a gimlet eye...

Now that the Hellcamps have been crushed, some parents have been resorting to such behavior THEMSELVES.

Now, what do these things have in common - the same exact treatment delivered by the Hellcamps.
And here's the rub, when parents do this to their own kids, it results in criminal charges.
Sooo - why on EARTH was it *ever* okay to hire it out, to commit the abuse by proxy ?

And yet, when it was done by proxy rarely if ever were charges delivered even if it resulted in the death of the victims - time and time again these facilities and their personnel were let off the hook entire, and the few times they weren't any punishment was laughably pathetic.

Compare what happened to Savanna Hardin to what happened to Martin Lee Anderson, for example.

Mind you, neither I nor CoTL has formulated a response to this as there's currently uncertainty a response is needed since in the three cases above charges were pressed, but it is definately food for thought in that hiring it out distanced the abusers from the conseqences of their actions and by cutting off that outlet many have resorted to engaging in such behavior themselves.

Gotta think on this one, a while.

Also, while slightly off-topic here, Forbes just published a guest editorial by Cevin Soling, author of The War on Kids which is a serious both-barrels to the establishment and very thought provoking.

Sad about the abuses. Is it any wonder, when schools are run by misopedists to mass produce dehumanizing automatons?
