This is the last of a long series of tragic events. First the mother disappeared after telling her husband she was going to take her two boys and leave. When the father became a suspect, the boys went to stay with relatives who were subsequently accused of molesting them. Their father was granted supervised visitation because evidence of his involvement with the mother's disappearance wasn't forthcoming...

This is why we need what I suggested, a safe, properly supervised neutral place with full accountability to watch over and care for children in nasty situations like this.

The Foster system is wholly inadequate to the task, as is well known, but such a tactic WAS used during the FLDS/El Dorado mess - both with Cal Farley's and the Mental Health personnel, but a careful observer would note in both cases when they stood up for the rights of the children in their care against the State, even when the State was clearly in the wrong, they were either fired or de-funded accordingly...

Which means it HAS to be under a seperate authority.
