So, in the good old USofA, if you're poor, most like you'll stay that way even if you work hard.

Take THAT, you bootstrap bootlickers.

DREAMTROVE

Do you revel in our failure as a nation?

I do

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.

Uh, I didn't think we HAD any "upward mobility" anymore. Unless you count "trickle-up poverty", which seems to be doing quite well.

None of this comes as any surprise to me, I've recognized it for a long time now. Death of an empire, hastened by so many bad decisions like dropping taxes on "job creators", enormous gimmies to corporations and especially the war machine. But I think we were destined for the way we're going all along, most empires go this way eventually. We just speeded up the process.

The American Dream has been dying for years...I'd get into the politics of it, but both sides have their share of the blame, and I'm not going to get into one of "those" arguments.

KPO

Sometimes you own the libs. Sometimes, the libs own you.

Haha very funny when you read the quotes. No surprise though, American conservatives are never as wrong as when they're talking about Europe.

It's not personal. It's just war.
