Anyone here remember a bunch of years ago on this forum I said we'd all be in a 'Dark Angel' economy soon?
I'll refrain from saying I told you so (but I did).

Well for all his nice talk, Obama will be crushed by the Halls of Power & Profit.
Healthcare peeps, IT peeps, drug dealers and cronies of the New World Order will make it through fine; the rest of us are lookin' at a future of scraping by, or getting extremely creative with finding new sources of income.

Welcome to the downsizing of the American Way of Life.

It's the end of the bubble as we know it; I feel fine....

Not to put too fine a point on it, but you left out a possibility that Obama was lying in the first place. Having watched people make excuses for Tony Blair's strange economy, I feel like I'm in reruns here. Just like the last guy, he's a front man for some shadowy group, let's call it "The Corporation" and he's been implanted with brain monitoring cyberware. The only way it can get worse is if they launch a new space mission to check out a nearby asteroid rumored to have a crashed alien ship on it.

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.
