The correct placement of these flags would be to have the U.S. flag alone to the right of the judge's bench and the other flags to his left.

Hooray! The New World Order has triumphed in Farmingdale. (New Hampshire? Connecticut? Sounds like a New England name.) Armaggadeon (and I probably didn't spell that right) looms and will arrive any moment. Looks to me like ALL of the flags on display there are higher than the US flag, or at least have taller ornaments on top of the pole.

Aren't y'all making an awful lot out of a little carelessness by a couple of village purchasing clerks?

And BTW, I'm sure EC is correct- if ya want it done absolutely right, that's the way to do it.

Maybe. But if they can't take a minute to find out how to fly the flag of their country properly, what other things are they missing? I consider it sort of a 'No Brown M&Ms' issue.

I accept your point of view. But, as with the "No brown M&Ms" issue, might it not be a gadfly distraction keeping folks too busy with puny unimportant details to not get important work done with limited resources? Maybe we should catch folks screwing up the really big stuff first, and publicize THAT? MAYBE we can't catch 'em screwing up the big stuff because they don't?
Or maybe we don't want to catch them screwing up the big stuff because the screw ups benefit us and embarrass our opponents?

This is exactly the reason I can never take anyone associated with the tea parties seriously. If they can't take a minute to look up the correct spelling of "Constitution" (preferably by looking at the document itself!) or "socialism", how can they be trusted to run the government?

I'm glad you agree with me on this.
