My mom always likes this sort of stuff, because it discredits the rest of it. It's like 6 yo girl on sex offender list or whatever. Fact is, 24 year old muslim shouldn't be on the terrorist watchlist unless he was convicted of terrorism somewhere, and then maybe he should be in jail instead.

I'm opposed to lists, as they were one of the cornerstones of the holocaust. If any Jew is serious about "never again" they have to think about how and why it happened, and not just shoot down anyone who says anything negative about Jews, because I can tell you, Jews were already doing that *before* the holocaust, so that's not the answer. Also, you gotta stop it happening to any group, not just your own.

Anyway, something like this adds absurdity to the whole thing, and weakens their case. The more they fuck up and lose, the more we win.

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.

They've gotten more clever about it. Now lists imply crimes. A list of "muslims" would no longer seem appropriate, but it can be made in other ways, as "terrorists." "Latinos" can be "illegal aliens." Those who are not, can be "suspects" or "possible" and can still go on lists.
