Sick Freaks!!

I have serious allergy issues and prescriptions some days do nothing for them. Today I could not breathe. Went to the cabinet and took a vitamin c supplement and drank some apple cider with pomegranete and was breathing within ONE minute!
ONE!

I kill the idiot who stands between me and my supplements!

Would be nice to have some actual clinical studies performed on herbs, but this ain't the way to do it boys!

Hell, Aspirin was evolved from willow bark and saspirilla, the latter of which, in soft-drink form, I've ever found MUCH more effective for a headache...

Just about every prescription med out there was once a folk cure, but Big Pharmacorp Inc wants to lock it all up tight in their piggybank, and make it illegal for you to solve your problem any other way, part and parcel of the "War on (some) Drugs" which for them is mostly about eliminating competition - shit man, here in Detroit some of the dope dealers been smuggling canadian blood pressure and other meds cause they can make bank on it selling to people who's grammas need it and cannot afford Big Pharma prices - what does that say when you gotta visit the fuckin dope man to get grammas blood pressure medication, ehe ?

Not to mention that many of their high-pressure PR campaign "miracle drugs" are deadly and ineffective, the Gardasil fiasco oughta be proof enough of that for anyone - and how ironic to have THAT discussion in a PN thread, cause it was me and PN who were the only two who spoke up against that shit... till the bodies started piling up, and that tragedy hit me personally, since my own fucking family wouldn't listen to me about it and one of em is in the ground because of it.

I don't discuss it much, but I *do* know a whole shitload about pre-modern medicine, and not the drown-it-in-mercury bullshit kind, the kind that actually worked, and gave RISE to modern medicine.

Yes, I know a good bit about prescript history, my problem is they've evolved in the wrong direction. Most doctors don't have a clue what they're compounding, must less how they interact with every person's unique chemistry- Let's jest throw pills and play roulette with your life, 'K?

I already get some meds from a family member who lives on the border 'cause it's cheaper to pay her a little extra(she comes through here every spring) than it is to go through a doc for co-pay and buy them here, even with insurance, And I don't have to put up with the dipshits in my docs office...Win-win!

If your family is anything like my family... good luck tellin 'em the grass is green. Can't be responsible for the actions of a closed mind, for they are already trapped...

Sheeet...well, we know about Big Pharma: "Got anything you don't like? We've got a pill for that! Of course, the side effects may kill you, but hey, it's better than suffering a headache!" and "Don't touch that herbal med (we didn't sell it to you)! It's not been FDA approved (which we own)! It might kill you (tho' ours might too...)! It might have ground-up cricket in it (of course, ours have chemicals that might make you blind or give you tardive dyskensia..)!

Fuck Them!

Believe me, as a bipolar, I'm all too familiar with the Russian Roulette of medications, especially psychotropics! The side effects can be horrendous, and they STILL don't know how they work...but hey, got a disease, gotta take a pill, it's the 'Murican way!
