Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Note I put the "insane" in quotes (as in, not necessarily always accurate).

Well, the ridiculous duplicative rants against Obama have, predictably, slunk down where they belong...hopefully they won't be back, at least for a while or until someone has time to put up new ones.

I put up a few from the news to help, and I see discussions are picking up on a few more. Huzzah.

It's not ME saying this, mind you, but here's a quote from someone on the internet which might apply to a few of our most beloved FireflyCrazies:
Quote:

At the risk of enabling, does the Internet mean that all the rest of us are being made unwitting participants in the personal and political life of, um, crazy people?

Subtext: That untamed hoi polloi, those unwashed minds polluting the discourse, that rabble on the verge of violence -- they are at the ramparts! Isn't there some way to mow them down with grapeshot?

I'll never forget a line out of West Wing--have to look it up--about some people on the internet. Give a giggle.

That's MY rant for the day...have a good one!

Meh, I am of the opinion that the internet really does quality as the collective consciousness of all humanity, and yes, it's fulla violence, porn, and there's plenty of hate and bitterness.

But there's also hope, wisdom, information, kindness and caring - it's all in what you look for and hope to see.

In some fashion it's also a mirror of culture, throwing back out of it what is poured into it, which is why I laugh at the crass commercialism of so much of it.
