I'm disturbed by the idea that coyotes would attack an unconscious human. I'm ruling out all other possibilities including rabies. Maybe if she was already bleeding, but even so, they're not sharks. I suppose there's something amiss about them, and it's not just the creepy spooky howl. You don't end up as the animal spirit of the grim reaper in any culture unless something's amiss.
