I saw a lot of this crap about a dozen years ago...A bunch of KC-135's had been spraying all night in a crosshatch (checkerboard) pattern ,and concluded the activity in the early morning...

Some other folk were standing by and witnessed it also , and it prompted them to comment ,
" What are they doing ? Basketweaving ? "
