Mass murder Fidel Castro is back. The lunatic communist is now accusing the United States of a scheme that could kill billions of people. In an article titled, More Than 3 Billion People in the World Condemned to Premature Death From Hunger and Thirst, the fugly dictator writes that U.S. plans to partially replace our gasoline consumption with biofuels such as ethanol will result in a worldwide food crisis that will kill more than three billion people. He writes this is because corn and other edible products used to make the fuels would then be unavailable as food.

I wonder what the ecoterrorists who are in love with the Butcher of Havana think of this.

I don't know what your definition of "ecoterrorist" is but I'd bet I'm closer to it than a lot of people so here's my take.

Corn for bio-fuels is extremely inefficient and really shouldn't be used, I've heard that sugar is MUCH more efficient and in that case all we'd be looking at is a dearth of sugary snacks, not of nutritional foods. As cool as the thought of bio-fuels are corn is impractical and should be discontinued in favor of other sources, additionally more research should be done in the field of artificial crude oil (which has been produced at a fair rate from turkey parts IIRC).

Also, I think that he has a point (costs for food would go up), but I think his estimate is obscenely inflated and that he's full of shit.
