The Pentagon is pre-planning troop movements to keep the current sized force in Iraq for the next 2 years; and planning a second deployment of ALL the National Guard brigades. They're saying it's easier to plan and then cancel than to be required to deploy and start from scratch.

Rumsfeld may be going ( he ain't gone yet...) but the damage to the Army is long since done.

Personally, I thought recruitment numbers were at (or at least close to)( revised) expected levels because they keep lowering the standards.
