Katimavik anyone?

For those that don't know Katimavik is a government funded volunteer service yadda yadda awesome program (in Canada). [see www.Katimavik.org]

It's sister program Canada World Youth [see www.cwy-jcm.org] could be considered the Peace Corps of Canada.

I am a recent alumni of Katimavik, and a current participant of Canada World Youth... I am writing this thread because the funding may be cut.

I know there may not be a lot of Browncoats here that are Canadian but I urge you to go to http://www.fundingstatus.katimavik.org/ and send letters to the government. This programs are ... I couldn't really tell you. I only wish that all youth have the chance to do them. Instead the government may choose to allow no one to participate in these programs.

If you can, please speak up!
