I just saw this video:
http://media.skoopy.com/vids/vid_00748.wmv

Hmm, good to see the police taking control and looting, erm, I mean leading, from the front...

I haven't seen the video (just had it described to me; can't access it from work), nor will I assume every cop (or any other public servant, for that matter) is automatically honest and above suspicion. I will, for the sake of objectivity, point out I heard radio reports that some police officers "looted" places for stuff (especially guns and ammunition) and took the loot to safe keeping, duly reported to their superiors, to keep it out of looters' hands.

Again, nothing at all says the police in the video (and in some stories) weren't just scumbags helping themselves when they thought they could get away wit it. I just try to keep a balanced view when possible.

I didn't do it.

It's good to know all those shoes in the cops' shopping cart are safe from the looters.

Food and water I have no problem with, electronics are definitely over the line. Shoes would fall somewhere in between, but you'd think cops would have the sense to change out of their uniforms before joining the pillaging.

Heh; I'd forgotten about this. Just watched the video, and I agree what was depicted was hopefully the end of some people's wearing uiforms. I can't think of a single way those cops could justify themselves.

I don't know what your problem is, but I bet it's hard to pronounce.
