The Female Insanity Defense

Talking to women in pink at the Lindsay Clancy trial
By Jack Ludkey

https://mamathemagazine.com/the-female-insanity-defense/

There is no real dispute over whether Lindsay strangled her three children to death with exercise bands. This trial surrounds Lindsay’s mental state, specifically whether she was experiencing psychosis during the hour her husband went to pick up takeout. The killings are so insane it seems obvious only an insane person could do it, but by that circular logic, every serial killer (of which most are men) would be set free. This is the core of the female insanity defense: the more monstrous a woman’s crime, the less responsibility she bears for it.

On August 20th, hundreds gathered outside the Plymouth Superior Court in support of Clancy. Many took off work. They wore pink and held their hands in the shape of hearts above their heads.

I went to Plymouth expecting these women to be crazy, but found them to be eerily normal. Nurses, mothers, and wives who identified with Clancy despite the fact that she murdered her own children. Whether by elaborate conspiracy or mundane rationalization, they couldn’t accept someone so much like themselves had done something so evil. One woman’s supposed psychosis had spread to the general female population.

I spoke with only one protestor who was there to support the victims. She held a sign that simply said, “Justice for CORA DAWSON AND CALLAN.” Like many high-profile cases, it seems as if the actual victims have become minor characters in their own tragedy. I asked her why she was the only one protesting. She told me she was with a group that promised to show up but didn’t. To her credit, she stood there, alone in the allocated demonstration zone, for a good three hours while every possible media outlet came up to ask her the exact same questions.

A despondent wigger sat in the courtyard smoking a cigarette, his black snapback hanging low as the ash built up on the edge of his Newport.

“Are you here for the trial?”

“No man, I’m here for my own shit. I don’t want to talk right now.”

Fair enough. I made friends with a content creator named Cam, who flew here from Kansas. He had a ZYN container bulging from his khakis as he angrily scrolled through Clancy content on his phone. He sells clips to major news networks, so he spends a lot of time capturing on-the-street videos of people at their most insane.

I expected the Clancy supporters to have too much time on their hands, but most were valuable contributors to society. One nurse told me she only regretted she couldn’t take more than a day off to support Clancy, even though she had requested more. Clancy was a labor and delivery nurse, and many of her supporters are nurses.

Some defend Clancy on her own terms; others do it based on conspiracies. I pass a black woman named Kara in a minivan looking at her phone, who’s been there all day. Her window is open, and I ask her if she’s with the media.

“No, I’m here with myself.”

She’s a mother of five, a registered nurse, and that she believes the husband committed the murders, framed his wife, and threw her out the window. One common refrain from Clancy supporters is that their identity as a women, mothers, or nurses, for some reason, draws them to Clancy.

“So this is like a reverse Gone Girl situation going on?” I ask Kara.

“Yes. One thousand percent.”

She reminds me that Clancy’s husband reviewed a hiking trail on the site AllTrails in Costa Rica only a month after his children’s funerals.

“This hike was amazing. It is short, but LOTS of stairs. You will be dripping sweat. I’m not sure about the $17. I was the only one there with no one else in sight. There’s also zero cell service.”

To Kara, this exonerates Clancy completely.

For many other Clancy supporters, the real “smoking gun” is the fact that Lindsay crushed up the pills in her attempted suicide. They simply can’t believe a registered nurse would crush pills in a suicide attempt. It came up with every single Clancy supporter I spoke to, particularly the nurses. To be fair, Lindsay was on an insane amount of psychiatric drugs prescribed to her by multiple practitioners and seemed to not be taking any of them correctly.

But regardless of her mental state, I can’t imagine any amount of medication exonerating a man from an equivalent act of infanticide. And further, I can’t imagine a crowd of other men showing up to defend him from the charge. He’d likely be killed in prison by other inmates. Whatever is happening here is exclusively a phenomenon of female solidarity.

The other major news networks stick to themselves. The vibe is akin to a slow day on movie production. Empty cans of Diet Coke pile up. Tents, vans idling, AC blasting, a hot Australian reporter standing on a box.

Inside the courtroom, defense attorney Kevin Reddington has the jury eating out of the palm of his hand. One of the jurors wears a pink dress. The state-appointed witness gets tricked by Reddington’s yes-or-no questions. Reddington appeals to emotion, which works against the two particularly uncharismatic female lawyers on the prosecution. At the end of the day, the media swarms Reddington like a celebrity.

In the parking lot, there’s a black truck with a decal that says, “Dead Pedofiles Don’t Reoffend.” The man driving it gets out wearing a matching shirt.

Across the street, “The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Departments Horticulture Farm-Petting Zoo” has a sale on mums, the flower. The petting zoo is busy with both children and mothers wearing pink.

The actual crime is a strangely self-contained one. Three children murdered by their own mother. No one will mourn you more than your own mother. No one loves you more too. Clancy tried to kill herself after the act, so in a sense she may have found herself more guilty than many of her defenders do. Whether Lindsay will spend her remaining days in a mental institution or a federal prison seems irrelevant to me. The real trial is nationwide. A circus of banal evil which has caught millions of normie women in its darkness.

I ask a lady at the front desk of the courthouse if it’s been a busy week.

“Oh yeah,” she says. “Plymouth has the best weather in the world right now, that the West Coast is burning and everywhere else is flooded and that the weather is why everyone and their mother is in Plymouth right now.”

I can’t tell if she’s joking.

If it is legally deemed that a woman has no control over her hormones to the point that they can murder three of her own children before attempting suicide and have no agency to choose not to do that...

Well then maybe women shouldn't ever hold any position of power in the public or private market.

Maybe women should not be allowed to run for or hold office.

Maybe women shouldn't ever be allowed to have a job where they hold a firearm.

Substituting the word man for woman would mean that, maybe (a weasel word), neither men nor women could hold any position of power.

No. This is just another example of your stupidity because that's a blatant false equivalency.

I'm not even going to try explaining the difference to you because I've already done so and you're a fucking idiot.

Yanno SIX, I wish you would stop pretending that you care about what this "means" for "women" and their out-of-control "hormones".

First of all, it doesn't apply to "women", it applies to less than 1% of postpartum women. And it's not stress, or baby blues being considered, it's hallucinations and paranoia.

I think there's a much larger chance of a veteran with PTSD "going off" on "hormones" (adrenaline, cortisol). Should we exclude veterans from positions of responsibility?

And I don't care how hard you troll, or how far off the deep end you go, you're not going to change my mind that there's a point on the crazy-sane spectrum ... hallucinations ... where someone gets a "pass" on their actions. And I'm not going to make up my mind about Clancy unless I have more facts. So far, only the defense has been widely published.

Postpartum psychosis is usually preceded by depression (or worse) with previous births. Did Clancy have a hx of?

Where was she when she "threw" herself out the window? Was her spinal injury from a miscalculation? ... When we were kids and sleeping on the 2nd floor, our dad instructed us to escape a stairwell fire by hanging from a window with our hands. Which window did she choose? One with a soft landing? How close to the house did she land?

What kind of a mother was she? Why would her children "suddenly" become "inconvenient", as the prosecution painted? Was there some kind of event ... like discovering her husband was having an affair... that might get the wheels calculating revenge?

As a labor-delivery nurse, she might have been familiar with postpartum psychosis, It would have been easy to lay a trail of breadcrumbs pointing to that dx. The only permanent consequence she suffered (so far) is paralysis. Facts will help me decide.

I'm going to stop you right there and not even read any further, because you still do not understand.

The short answer is, YES, if we are going to give away free fucking passes for horrible shit that veterans do due to "hormones", then yes. We are not to ever give a veteran a position of responsibility again then either. They are no longer fit to be in society.

What now?

I'm talking Pure Eye for an Eye. That's the only way to do this.

You and I both know that ANY man who did this to their kids would see the harshest penalty allowed in their state, AS THEY SHOULD. And chances are once word got around what they did in prison (if they didn't get the death penalty), they would be murdered by other men in the prison, AS THEY SHOULD.

NO men would EVER be rallying around the father of a bunch of dead babies that he killed.

But if women are to give only ONE woman a free pass for doing the most unthinkable evil act because she is a mindless drone to her hormones and instinct, than no women can be trusted with any position of power.

The "insanity" defense needs to be thrown out the fucking window in its entirety.

The ONLY way that anybody should get away with killing somebody is if they were doing it in self defense. Either their own self-defense, or of those around them.

And before you even bring it up, you're probably right...

This probably wouldn't stop certain individuals from murdering other people or their own goddamned babies.

But knowing full well what the consequences of those actions would be ahead of time would deter even anybody who's still on the brink of sanity from doing so, when they're under zero illusions that they could hatch a scheme with their evil lawyer to get them out of it.

Those that are still fucking crazy enough to do something like this will also see the death penalty going forward, AS THEY SHOULD.

Anybody who does this has ZERO place in society, and not only is life in prison or a hospital far too good for them, but then the rest of society has to keep paying for their pointless existence until the day they finally die off.

Death penalty for ANYONE who murders their own children. 100% of the time.

Death penalty for ANYONE who murders ANYONE if it wasn't in self-defense, either of themselves and/or those around them. 100% of the time.

What I've observed, SIX, is that threat of punishment, or even ACTUAL punishment, doesn't deter the unbalanced from committing crimes. All I have to is look at the recidivism rate to see that some people NEVER learn. And despite the fact that we have a HUGE number of ppl in jail, we have a very high violent crime rate.

So punishment doesn't deter ppl who are presumably sane but have poor impulse control, brain damaged, sociopaths/psychopaths, people who are severely stressed such as a person who kills in a self defense panic, ppl with severely poor ability to project possible consequences, ppl who grew up in violent societies, the drugged-up etc.

What it DOES deter is the person who rationally calculates the cost- benefit ahead of time.
"If I embezzle $10,000 I might get a fine, if I embezzle $100,000 I'll go to jail".
"If I steal $900 I'll go free".

Something is broken here.

Maybe what you're reacting to isn't Clancy herself but the reaction of many women who sympathize. That the lack of horror at the crime by some signals a societal breakdown.

FWIW I've gone back and forth on the death penalty, but have come down bring against. I know someone PERSONALLY who was falsely accused of murder. And there are too many cases where a person was wrongly convicted. It doesn't just happen in movies.

The biggest problem is "rush to judgement" IMHO.

Someone who worked for me, his wife was untreated bipolar. She dragged him into all kinds of rental investments which made his life a living hell, and so royally fucked up the kids that one wound up in a psych ward and the other "married his mom" and never did anything with his life until he died at a young age.

And as often as I urged "Bob" to STAND UP to his wife, he never did. It was frustrating and sad listening to his tales of woe, day after day, knowing he SHOULD have stopped his wife's abuse but doing NOTHING. I can't imagine how his kids felt. His escape was work. They didn't have any.

My mom was kind of similar but not anywhere near as bad. She was a self centered emotional vampire and alcoholic who preyed on my empathy and pretty much burned that out. For YEARS I thought all women were manipulative, histrionic, and untrustworthy.

But just to make a last point, it's interesting that the two most opinionated ppl on the topic have obviously never borne a child, or ever could.

Or even been a parent.

I'd make the point signym that he doesn't know the first thing about my mother and still he insults her and calls her a whore.

My mother worked in the billing department of the phone company. When she passed all kinds of people who nobody recognized, showed up with prayer books and kind words as she was 'Lying in repose.’ I remember we had 7 or more paper shopping bags of prayer books when all was said and done. And they were spilling over. They were strangers signym, strangers who she had helped when they were down and out. They spoke of how kind she was and all she had done for them.

On the day of the funeral the church was packed. When we left the church, we looked like a convoy. It appeared to be 3/4 of a mile or more long as we were going from the church to the cemetery. My father was in shock. He was blindsided by the whole thing. We had to take a toll road to get from one location to the other. My father stood at a toll both and with the toll attendant counted how many cars went through. The attendant added it up and my father paid for all who passed. At the cemetery mom was laid to rest next to my sister who we had lost when she was four.

Nothing Jack says can erode those memories.

Face it, Jack hates women and has no respect for anybody. Especially the female gender. Any female who thinks otherwise is delusional and just another of his enablers.

Now, if a woman kills her children she is very sick, not evil, and is deserving of treatment; period.

I used to share that. It wasn't until recently that I've changed my mind on the issue after going most of my life being against it (with plenty of post history here to back that up).

I don't blame myself for this change in perspective. I blame the globalists and the Democratic Party for RUINING our society by dumping tens of millions of people on our heads who have no knowledge of what our society once was, or any desire to assimilate to it. And then for absolutely refusing to hold anybody accountable for any crime they commit unless they're white males for the better part of the last decade on top of it.

Bottom line, if you can't behave yourself as a human being in society, there is no reason for you to exist anymore in society.

No more excuses. No more insanity pleas.

If you're insane, then lock you up in Arkam Asylum for the rest of your life if you're not going to be executed for your crime.

But make sure ONLY to tax those of us who want that to pay for the rest of the imprisoned for the evil acts they've committed.

I'm sick as dog shit having to pay for everyone else's kid's educations with my taxes as it is. I sure as fuck don't want a single penny of my tax dollars going to pay for one second of Lindsay's life in prison/hospital. If we're not going to end the lives of those that cannot live with the rest of society for the evil acts they commit, then you can pay for their life locked away from the rest of us.

I don't care.

It's that attitude that has gotten us to where we are today.

And there's no other possible path that it ever could have lead us to eventually.

Because you're going to cry for a dozen people who have been wrongly accused of murder, you've allowed hundreds of thousands of people to be raped and/or murdered over the course of the last 60 or so years. Maybe millions if we're talking worldwide in other "democratic" nations. This now includes Lindsay's 3 kids.

I would say that up until very recently you and I were also on the exact same page when it came to foreign meddling.

Jack can't answer that question because hate cannot build a functional society. It can only tear them down. And Jack runs on hate. You've been posting with Jack for years. Yet you still haven't allowed yourself to admit to, or be honest about that; sad. kiki tried to tell you that. She wanted you to reevaluate your relationship with him because he is abusive. She was your friend and he was abusing her. She wanted your support. You let her and how many other women, and men, down by not helping to end his bullshit behavior. Hell, he has been abusive to you in this thread.

The one good thing about this sick thread is I got to relive the kindness of my mother through memory. I wrote the post to answer a post from you directed to me. And you comrade signym, didn't comment on my post about her because you're afraid of Jacks vengeful wrath. Something else kiki tried to warn you of because she had often been on the receiving end of that wrath, or watched it being directed at you. I've witnessed Jack being abusive to you in his posts quite often. Many of those abuses through the shredding of your gender. And again, so had kiki. Add to that his hatred towards blacks, Latinos and so on. His friendship is a false flag.

I've never pretended to be your friend because of your constant pushing of Putin's agenda. Your criticisms of America as you excused the behaviors of totalitarian rulers. And I'm not interested in pretending to be your friend now. However, Jack is supposedly your friend. Yet he can't keep his abusive comments to himself when speaking with you because he doesn't care. Your feelings are irrelevant to him.

You've seen the thread I started to help new firefly fans join the site due to a renewed interest in an animated show. Or old fans who've lost their passwords get reconnected. I posted what I did based on what Haken had said to me.

Jack tore it up with trash posts. I started a new one, a clean one at the behest of AMONYMOUS1. I thought because AMONYMOUS1 had requested it, a purist here, Jack might leave it alone. Nope, Jack is trashing that one up as well. He doesn't want the site to take off again. He knows his hate will doom him with returning fans and new ones. His hostile posting haven here where he thinks he rules will go away. Shit, in his narcissistic mind he tells Haken what to do here. Including who has a right to be here.

He has threads he's created and post after post filled with misogyny, bigotry, and even flat-out cruelty. He has often displayed an indifference or pleasure in causing or witnessing the pain and suffering of others. Either by his actions or the unjust behaviors of others who are also indifferent. He laughed about Latinos getting shot in the face with rubber bullets. He cried for more of the same. He stalked wishimay driving her away for Christ's sake. Nope, if the site takes off, he is fucked. Women, blacks, Latinos, anyone with a healthy disposition will not tolerate him. How is your disposition comrade?

Personally, I don't see it happening but, what if? If Haken can put the time and effort into giving it a chance, I feel as a user of the site creating a thread with simple instructions for now is the least I can do. Apparently AMONYMOUS1 agrees. I will at some point soon recreate the thread which I'm sure Jack will trash. He has to because like narcissistic Trump, it's always about him.

SIX goes off the rails sometimes on certain issues and women is one of them.

He has no control over his emotions, and they run him. Given his background and likely genetics, I'm not surprised. SIX is generally a constructive person IRL, very smart about a lot of things and interesting. I don't consider him a friend tho. Friends don't abuse friends like he does. And I don't forgive him for this one.

I don't hate him tho. He's not worthy of hate, which, generally speaking, is a waste of time.

But the person who REALLY runs on hate 24/7/365 is SECOND. There isn't a single post of his that's constructive. Unlike SIX, I believe SECOND has cyber stalked and harrassed posters IRL, bc SECOND IS vindictive IRL. He even brags about it. SECOND can't even tell me what is evil about slavery, even tho I gave him some ideas! He uses words just to rile ppl up and insult them, and doesn't even know what they mean.

And NOBODY has attempted to answer "What are America's interests?" except JO and KIKI.

You'd think it was a trick question!

Oh, I'm sorry I missed your post THGR.

Your mom sounded like a wonderful woman, a kind and caring person. Most ppl don't have the emotional resources to extend to so many. The world is a harsher place without her.

And of course, since SIX knows nothing about her, his insults of her are meaningless. They say everything sbout him, and nothing about her. As my mom would say: "Consider the source".

But FYI it was SECOND who drove KIKI off the board, not SIX.

This site is permeated by Jacks disease of hate, bigotry and misogyny; fact. The constructive Jack you create in your mind has long since drowned in his Psychosis. His comments are 90% filled with malice towards everyone he addresses or talks about. I've been posting here long enough to see his posting patterns.

And because he doesn't even check to see what someone is actually saying, he spitefully makes shit up. Most of the time the only reason he clicks on a post is to respond cruelly and hatefully. It may have nothing to do with what has been posted.

I don't follow most of SECONDS posts. They are far to long for me. I like to post a short introduction in my posts so the reader gets the point and can chose to delve deeper if they wish. My posts also are well grounded in researched evidence and reflect my beliefs. I do however see he, like me, is posting evidence of what he believes to be factual. Mostly shit I agree with. And yes, he will say shit to Jack I wouldn't. I can only speculate as to why. Perhaps he's sick of Jacks bullshit. I know I am.

And yes, Jack will say I said it even if I didn't. He forgets what lies he's told when he is being snarky and then starts to believe them.

Here's my rundown on various posters:

SECOND IMHO is a sociopath. At several points he said he was "at war" here, and since he really WAS at war, he doesn't use the word lightly. He's given examples of how he's translated that "war“ to real life, as long as he can get away with it legally or civer his tracks. That's why his threats here are always just shy of actionable, and I suspect he's translated that war to real life against ppl here. It's hard to get a bead on who he's "at war" with, but I believe it's Republicans.
And, NO, he DOESN'T post what he believes to be fact. He will post something that 100% contradicts his immediately previous post. If he truly believed they were fact, then he's capable of believing two very contradictory things at once. Often.

SIX IMHO has some kind of psychological (learned, software) or neurochemical (firmware) problem. Possibly both. The way he usually runs at 250% and then sometimes goes torpid points to bipolar. But he also has severe problems focusing on things that don't catch his interest or jolt him with instant reward (dopamine). In addition, he has a horrible history with his mom. I can relate somewhat bc MY mom was histrionic, narcissistic and alcoholic, but she wasn't like his! SIX kind of emotionally blows up and his brain just goes completely offline, either in rage or opposition, and he stakes out ridiculous claims. But he IS currently the most interesting person on the board and I like following what he's doing bc he's learning a lot and I'm learning secondhand.

You, THGR, truly believe in the American establishment, whether that is the Democrats, the establishment press, banks, corporations ... the whole shmear. Despite numerous examples of bad faith, deception, and malign motives, you somehow continue to trust and defend "them". It sounds like you had a benign and stable upbringing that created such unshakable trust. And you think that anyone who criticizes what's happening to America, and what America is doing, is "anti American".

FREM is (was?) feral. He had a real view of the underside of American institutions: the courts, police, schools, pharma ...

There was another poster whose name I can't recall who was I think borderline schizo. He claimed to be a tomato farmer and also descended from European nobility. But he was probably the most insightful person here, bc sometimes you have to be a little crazy to see what others can't.

BYTE was confused about who and what she was, but one thing BYTE had in abundance was empathy.

Me? Well, of course, I'm perfectly sane and rational!

Actually I'm pretty conflict avoidant and extremely introverted. I'd have to say I'm chickenshit. That's just me, and I've had to do my best to pull up my big girl pants sometimes and deal with stuff that scares me, which is just about everything.

What did the impaneled jurors and alternates experience during deliberations?

The jury room during the Lindsay Clancy trial was a scene of intense frustration, screaming matches, and dramatic holdout behavior that could even be heard by the alternates sitting in another room. After 38 hours of deliberating, the panel ended in a Split 11-1 mistrial.

Public statements from the jurors and court records reveal exactly what happened behind closed doors:

Split and a Holdout

• Ready to Acquit: Eleven of the twelve jurors agreed that Clancy was not guilty by reason of insanity. They believed her postpartum psychosis meant she did not know right from wrong at the time of the killings.

• The Lone Holdout: One male juror completely blocked a unanimous verdict. Other jurors described him as “arrogant" and claimed he entirely refused to engage or listen to anyone else's arguments.

• The Contradiction: The jury foreperson stated that the holdout man actually admitted he had "reasonable doubt" about Clancy's criminal responsibility but still refused to vote for a not guilty verdict.

Tension and Bizarre Behavior

• Mimicking the Crime: Fellow juror Nick Dargie revealed that during a tense moment, the holdout juror picked up a piece of evidence—the exercise band Clancy used—tied it around an empty water bottle, and pulled it to mimic the strangulation. When asked why he was doing that, the man didn't give a clear reason.

• Ignoring the Room: The holdout would reportedly tune out the group entirely and spend long periods scrolling on his phone instead of participating.

• Shouting Matches: Deliberations became incredibly loud. The Plymouth Superior Court jury room erupted into so much yelling that the six alternate jurors—who were sequestered in a completely separate room—could clearly hear the arguments through the Walls.

The Effort to Save the Verdict

• Medical Debates: Several nurses who were sitting on the jury tried to use their medical expertise to explain the effects of Clancy's medications and toxicology reports, but the holdout dismissed them.

• The Notes to the Judge: The jury sent three separate notes to Judge William Sullivan stating they were hopelessly deadlocked. They even sent a note explicitly complaining that one man was refusing to follow the law on reasonable doubt.

Despite the intense anger directed at the holdout, the other eleven jurors noted that they grew close and supported one another. They felt proud that they successfully separated the absolute horror of the children's deaths from the strict legal guidelines they were ordered to follow.

Three Jurors in Clancy Trial Describe Frustration With Holdout

The three jurors, who voted to acquit Lindsay Clancy of murder, described the tense deliberations in an interview with a Boston TV station.

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/09/08/us/jurors-lindsay-clancy-trial.html

It had looked like the end of deliberations in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy.

Eleven of twelve jurors had agreed not to convict Ms. Clancy. Then the one holdout “admitted he had reasonable doubt,” the jury’s forewoman, Roni Carlson, said in an interview with the television station NBC10 in Boston on Tuesday.

According to the judge’s instructions, if jurors had considered all the evidence but still had reasonable doubt about the charges against Ms. Clancy, they had to acquit her.

So Ms. Carlson, a retired teacher, started to fill out the three verdict forms, she said in the interview. She got as far as writing her signature on each sheet. But then, Ms. Carlson recalled, the holdout juror said, “I’m still not going to say that she’s not guilty by reason of insanity.” [If I were a juror, at this point I tell the Foreman that two of the alternate jurors need to be included in the decision because I will be jailed for assault and battery while the 12th juror (call this unnamed person 6ixStringJoker) will need an ambulance. I will not allow 6ix to waste everyone's time just because 6ix refuses to understand the judge's instructions and follow each word precisely.]

In the first public statements by jurors since the monthlong trial, Ms. Carlson and two other jurors opened up about the grueling week of deliberations in which the jury of nine women and three men were deadlocked, prompting Judge William Sullivan to declare a mistrial.

Ms. Clancy has not denied that she strangled her children — Cora, Dawson and Callan — at their Massachusetts home in 2023. Instead, her trial in Plymouth, Mass., was over whether she should be held criminally responsible for their deaths.

Her lawyer argued that she had suffered from postpartum psychosis when she strangled her children with exercise bands on Jan. 24, 2023. The prosecution disputed the severity of her condition and said Ms. Clancy had planned to kill her children before attempting to die by suicide.

The three jurors said in a group interview with the station that they believed the evidence showed that Ms. Clancy clearly loved her children and repeatedly sought help for her mental health struggles.

“Everything proved that she loved her children, so she had to have snapped,” Ms. Carlson said in the interview.

The juror who disagreed with the other 11 does not yet appear to have been publicly identified or interviewed.

One of the three jurors interviewed, Kellie Farina, a chef for a senior center, told NBC10 Boston that the holdout juror “had the hardest time getting off the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children.”

The third juror interviewed, Paula Devlin, who works for a defense contractor, said that the holdout “completely disregarded” information that nurses on the jury provided to help interpret medical reports from the hospital where Ms. Clancy stayed after she killed her children.

The jurors said that the testimony and evidence presented at the trial were brutal at times. Ms. Farina described the 911 call made by Patrick Clancy, Ms. Clancy’s then husband, the night the children were killed as “horrific.”

“When we heard it again in the jury room, we were crying again,” she said.

The jurors were critical of the prosecution, with Ms. Farina describing it as “harsh,” in comparison to the defense’s style, which she described as “compassionate.”

Ms. Farina said the prosecution presented a lot of medical experts but no witnesses that said Ms. Clancy was a bad mother, a factor that weighed heavily with the three women.

The jurors said that Ms. Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, was arrogant, but they also found him compassionate and occasionally entertaining.

The case has deeply divided Americans, with some supporting the prosecution and others — especially women who report negative experiences with the postpartum mental health care system — expressing sympathy for Ms. Clancy.

Ms. Clancy, who was paralyzed from the waist down after her suicide attempt, is currently being held at Tewksbury Hospital, a state-run psychiatric facility.

Prosecutors have not yet announced whether they will retry the case.

Ok, I'll keep it simple. There comes a point in time where it stops being about the diagnosis and becomes about the consequences. To the person with the mental health issues, and those that have to deal with it. If those with the mental health issues are aware of them and choses to not get help, then they should be held accountable. Just like everyone else.

Instead with Jack, he believes everyone else is to blame. And the bullshit he throws at the rest of us is off the charts bullshit. He needs to be held accountable not enabled. If she were still alive, I'd tell you to ask kiki what she thought. Still, she already answered that question long ago.

That first part is an oibvious violation of standard Jury Instructions. Jurors are required to rule based upon the evidence presented at trial. But these self-important bimbo "nurses" decided to give unlawful secret testimony (without opportunity for rebuttal) in the secret deliberations of the jury room. Apparently only one juror followed the legal requirement and ignored this secret evidence (he was "the holdout"). The defendant was herself a fully licensed Registered Nurse, and these Libtard bimbos are supposed to rule her fate? Numerous various nurses were involved in the horrific events of this case, and some may have testified. But these bimbo nurses in the jury were above reproach?
Since this is MA, did they also testify that the Clancys were known Witches - which was obviously true?
Did the expert "nurse" jurors also explain that Sun orbits Earth every day - it's obvious to see every day in the sky!

AND THEN, this cabal of Libtard bimbo jurors, who refuse to follow simple law and jury instructions, has the unmitigated gall to whine about the sole juror who actually did follow the law, complaining he was not following the law!!!

I saw a clip yesterday on youtube, but now i can't find it.
The host had mentioned that the bimbo jurors had shown up at the trial, on the day to support Lindsay, wearing pink - to support Lidsay. While they were directed to not follow news or social media about the case.
The jurors.

Is this true?
Did the jurors wear pink on the designated day?
was this shown during the trial, jurors wearing pink in the jurors box?

YHGR, how do you hold someone accountable on an internet forum?
Call them names?
That's kind of stooping to their level, isn't it?

Maybe you mention 6ixStringJoker's faultest idea? That would be "Nobody died from COVID."

But 7,116,408 died in the world. 1,238,930 in the United States.
https://data.who.int/dashboards/covid19/deaths

Or 14.9 million excess deaths associated with the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021

I already told SIX that was a stupid idea. Yanno what's stupider?
Thinking that nobody died of Covid but that prople were keeling over from “the jab“.

But yanno, I think nature got back at SIX. He was seriously ill, and it was probably Covid. And it's not unheard of that Covid caused such out of control immune response thst ppl got autoimmune diabetes.

All the Trumptards I know personally are on a path to self-destruction. Some faster than others.

I see you finally found your new friends, cunt.

Your true colors shows themselves finally, Sigs.

Shit Golem and Ubu were your people all along.

Have fun with them. May you all burn in hell together.

The Long Decline of America

It began decades before Trump

Paul Krugman

Sep 11, 2026

https://paulkrugman.substack.com/p/the-long-decline-of-america

When the twin towers fell, it seemed to many like a second Pearl Harbor — a day of infamy, but one that would bring the nation together. And if you believed that, the state of the nation today must seem utterly shocking.

But the truth is that the seeds of where we are now had already been planted well before 9/11. There was an initial façade of national unity, but the ruthless political — and financial — exploitation of the attack began almost immediately. I wrote about what was really happening in a November 2001 column titled “An Alternate Reality” Here’s how it began:

Most Americans get their news from TV. And what they see is heartwarming -- a picture of a nation behaving well in a time of crisis. Indeed, the vast majority of Americans have been both resolute and generous.

But that’s not the whole story, and the images TV doesn’t show are anything but heartwarming. A full picture would show politicians and businessmen behaving badly, with this bad behavior made possible -- and made worse -- by the fact that these days selfishness comes tightly wrapped in the flag. If you pay attention to the whole picture, you start to feel that you are living in a different reality from the one on TV.

You can read the rest at the link. https://paulkrugman.substack.com/p/the-long-decline-of-america The past two years have been worse than almost anyone could have imagined, but the truth is that we were already well on the road to this MAGA nightmare on the day the towers fell.

It hasn’t been an inexorable downward spiral. The election of our first Black president really was a significant moment — the truth is that while there are plenty of haters, overall we are a better, more tolerant society than we were in 2001. The expansion of healthcare under Obama wasn’t just good policy; it represented real moral progress. Although there has been a concerted effort to smear the policymakers who responded to Covid, the truth is that we managed the economic fallout from that crisis very well, and the rapid development of a vaccine was a scientific and medical miracle.

But the evil now running wild in America didn’t begin when Trump descended that escalator. It has been building for decades.
