If the answer is Trump, he's the only one doing any real blackmail here.

Let's just put it this way... If there's one thing that Trump is keenly aware of, it's his audience, and how to get his audience to respond.

And by "Audience" I don't just mean Trump voters, or the "MAGA" crowd, or any Box of people. Like it or not, the entire world is Trump's audience right now.

He's certainly not behaving like a guy who's worried that the mid-term elections are going to put him in an impotent 2-year lame duck period.
