Quote:Originally posted by THG: I once held what seemed to be a perfectly rational belief: that even the staunchest supporters of Donald Trump would change their minds once his incompetence and hatred directly affected them. That logic tracked with the dominant narrative of the last decade, going back to when pundits first claimed that Trump supporters were motivated not by hatred but by something called “economic anxiety.” Trump’s economy has now arrived, and it’s as catastrophic as the experts predicted. Despite his promises not only to curb inflation but also to bring prices down, there is no relief in sight, because Trump never had a plan for dealing with any of that. Housing remains out of reach for many, unemployment is rising, and, thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill Act, Medicaid is about to eject millions of recipients to help offset a budget-busting tax cut for rich people. Across the country, Republicans are discovering that their loyalty was a one-way street. A red county in Maryland lost its badly needed FEMA aid. A Nebraska clinic closed due to imminent funding cuts. In North Dakota, Trump’s tariffs have cost soybean farmers the Chinese market. An Indiana cement factory lost a $500-million grant to reduce its carbon footprint because the administration doesn’t believe that climate change is real. And now, a government shutdown hinges on Trump’s refusal to provide subsidies to people on Obamacare — many of whom voted for him. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/contributor-as-trump-s-reign-implodes-tell-maga-i-told-you-so/ar-AA1O0QCN?ocid=BingHp01&cvid=33fd55f5dd884818e5cdc12ab7ac2fb8&ei=41 Oh ok, here's some white liberal news. What a joke huh? T

That's her name. Karen. I was thinking her character name was Karin. Even tho she seems way too smart to be a Karen. Is she complete AI? I had just assumed AI boobs would be silicone implants, not push up style. That must be why she has glasses, to obscure the AI eyes. But I thought I saw an episode without glasses. The first vids I saw had her hair black. But I did see Episode 1 had her hair purple, and recent eps back to purple. Earlier eps had her mouth less smiley, but it has grown more pageant-worthy. I notice her glasses frames change thickness. And her dress/blouse is the same cut, but just with different colors. Are all the characters AI?
Quote:After years, a similar show came on, called Fridays - it was broadcast on late night Friday. But this one was much funnier. Had a wonderful cast, many of whom were not well known at the time. Melanie Chartoff was the news announcer. She was hot.
Quote:SNL had Mr. Bill. Fridays had Michael Richards playing a little kid in his backyard playing Army with his toys, and BLOWING SH!T UP! I thought it was Little Army Boy, and it was the highlight, the reason to tune into every Friday. This was a half decade before Stanley Spudowski in UHF. I checked youboob and the clips are called "Battle Boy" First installment was there, you can start with that, watch them build up. Also noticed one with a kiddy pool, and that one has Melanie playing a little girl who wants to "share" the water, along with her Barbie dolls.
Quote:SNL had a sound segment, where they found the worst C-list dreck of bands and had them make noise for several minutes. This was better than commercials, because you had time to raid the fridge, make a whole sandwich during this horrible "music" crap. The first show of Fridays, they introduced a music segment. Oh crap, they could have just skipped this crap. They introduced the band name - aww crap, another lousy band with one of those object names. Like The Doors, The Beagles, The Kinks, The Doobies, etc. Getting ready to hoist up and raid the fridge, on the front edge of my seat. Then the bands starts in, with what is now become an iconic and immediately recognizable intro with sharp, crisp drumsticks. I stay seated for that whole song, amazed that they found some band that seems to have some talent. I strained to hear what they called the band after the song: something called The Cars. They have 2 or 3 songs which have a similar intro. I think this was My Best Friends Girl that I had just heard. A unique sound at the time. There were things like Second City, shows from Canada, Chicago, etc. Bob and Doug MacKenzie came from one of those. I think Red Green eventually spawned from one. But Fridays was the best.
