I don't only go out of my way to avoid posting from FOX News or Newsmax unless absolutely necessary, but I've made a point of pointing out that truth on many occasion as well...

I don't watch Watters at all, but from what I hear he's pretty even-keel compared to somebody like Sean Hannity, or literally anybody on NewsMax or OAN.

What do you think they're saying to their audience tonight?

Link in 2nd post; Full Transcript Below:

Quote:

"The Five" co-host Jesse Watters reacts to the assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.

JESSE WATTERS, FOX NEWS CHANNEL: We're sick, we're sad, we're angry, and we're resolute, and we're going to avenge Charlie's death in the way Charlie would want it to be avenged. He was such a beautiful boy. He was an American boy, and he was incredibly positive. He was full of energy and life, and he made politics fun. You see it at his events when things blow up and the music plays, and we haven't had that in a very long time in this country.

Every time he did a hit on my show, he would text me afterwards, thank you, Jesse, I really appreciate having you on. And my daughter loved him. I mean, she's 13 years old.

This is a man who touched an entire generation of Americans and electrified them and made them patriots. And this is not a controversial person. This is not a polarizing guy, a divisive person, a firebrand that he's being described as in the media.

This is like a guy that you have a barbecue with at your summer house. This is the kind of guy, if you came back with your daughter, you'd say, thank God, we got a good one. He's a great athlete.

He's a great person. He's a great Christian. You see his family out there.

He had his kids not facing the photos because he wanted to protect them because he knew how evil people were. So when he goes out to these college campuses, he's not provoking anybody. He's like Socrates.

He asks questions, and he does it with a smile. And there's nothing controversial about saying socialism is worse than capitalism. Men and women are different.

Let's put America first because that's all he was about, putting America first. And as Greg said, this hits differently because Charlie was one of us. And Trump gets hit in the ear.

Charlie gets shot dead. They came after Kavanaugh with a rifle to his neighborhood. They went after Musk's cars.

They just shot two Jews outside the embassy. Think about it. Scalise got shot, barely survived.

It's happening. We got trans shooters. We got riots in L.A. They are at war with us. Whether we want to accept it or not, they are at war with us. What are we going to do about it? How much political violence are we going to tolerate?

And that's the question we're just going to have to ask ourselves. Now, Charlie would want us to put as much pressure on these people as possible. Dana nailed it.

This is unacceptable and has to stop. And it has to stop now. And everybody's accountable.

And we're watching what they're saying on television. And who's saying what? The politicians, the media, and all these rats out there.

This can never happen again. It ends now. Greg's right again.

This is a turning point. And we know which direction we're going.

I have no idea who either of these people are. So I listened to Charlie Kirk pushing "college is a scam bc you stop believing in the virgin birth" and was totally turned off. It sounded like mush for the weak-minded.

That's no reason to shoot him, tho.

His murder is a tragedy for his family and a disaster for the country. In an atmosphere of national paranoia and hatred, each act of political violence makes the next one more likely. Last year, Trump came within a couple of inches of being assassinated. In June, two elected Democrats in Minnesota were shot, one fatally. President Trump has ordered flags across the country to be lowered to half-staff in Kirk’s honor, but he wasn’t a statesman like John F. Kennedy, or a moral leader like Martin Luther King Jr. (whom Kirk called “not a good person”). I won’t pretend that I believe America just lost a great man. In the long history of American political assassinations, Kirk belongs in the company of charismatic provocateurs such as Huey Long and Malcolm X, cut down before their time. Like them, he had a feel for the political pulse of his moment, a demagogic flair, and the courage to take on all comers in argument, which exposed him to the sniper who ended his life.

Kirk was killed on a college campus in Utah, seated under a tent with the slogan “Prove Me Wrong,” facing a crowd of several thousand people, debating anyone who wanted to approach and challenge him. He kept up this practice—part recruitment, part provocation, part entertainment—throughout his years as Turning Point USA’s leader. He was using his freedom of speech, and if his style was aggressive, divisive, sometimes mocking, losing his life this way was no less an assault on everything that democracy’s remaining believers should hold dear. Those who disagreed with Kirk ought to be able to deplore what he stood for and also the violence that killed him.

Words are not violence—violence is violence. After Trump’s brush with death, before anything was known about his would-be assassin, J. D. Vance and others blamed the shooting on the rhetoric of his political opponents. Within hours of Kirk’s killing, with the shooter still at large, Elon Musk posted on X: “The Left is the party of murder.” Stephen Miller’s wife, Katie, wrote: “You called us Hitler. You called us Nazis. You called us Racists. You have blood on your hands.” Some right-wing activists are calling for the Trump administration to crack down on leftist organizations—in other words, to use Kirk’s death as a pretext for political repression, which is just what an authoritarian government would do. No one should feel anything but horror and dread at the murder of Charlie Kirk. And no one should use the killing of a man known for his defense of free speech to muzzle others or themselves from speaking the truth about the perilous state we’re in.

If all the relatives of all the deer I've killed over the last 63 years swore a vendetta against me, the deer would be more likely to succeed than all the Trumptards in the universe working together. Simplifying, Trumptards are less capable of flourishing and achieving goals than deer, which is why Trumptards are bitter and estranged.

There are approximately 36 million deer in the United States and 70 million Trumptards. At one point, deer were almost extinct due to hunting. Do you want a near extinction of Trumptards? Then start attacking Libtards. If Trumptards do this, they are dead meat: "And we're going to identify and destroy the lives of every person celebrating his death on social media." - 6ixStringJack

6ix, you are on the wrong side of everything, most notably with your "Fuck Ukraine/Nobody Cares" attitude. Less noticeable to casual readers are your personal failures such as your refusal to work, refusal to marry, your lack of teeth because of decades of drinking, your numerous substance addictions, and your insulin pump the only thing keeping you alive. 6ix, your life has been stupid and a waste but that is pretty typical for the Trumptards I know, rich and poor. Next on 6ix's agenda is his "Death to Democrats" jihad. Another way to cut short and squander the balance of his life.

Charlie Kirk’s Murder and the Crisis of Political Violence

By Benjamin Wallace-Wells

https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2025/09/22/charlie-kirk-murder-and-
the-crisis-of-political-violence

Three thousand people attended the Turning Point USA event at which Charlie Kirk spoke on Wednesday, on an outdoor green at Utah Valley University. The sheer size of that crowd—in the morning, at a school in a suburb of Provo, and even if some were there to protest—is just another piece of evidence that Kirk, in his years-long campaign to inspire a hard-right turn among people in their teens and twenties, had built a formidable movement. There was a Q. & A. portion, and someone asked how many transgender Americans had been mass shooters in the past decade, to which Kirk replied, “Too many.” The person next asked, “Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America over the last ten years?” Kirk said, “Counting or not counting gang violence?” Then, in videos, there is a single, audible crack, and Kirk’s body jerks and then goes limp. In the audience, heads turn: someone had shot him, apparently from an elevated position about a hundred and fifty yards away. Soon, Kirk’s spokesman announced that he had been killed. He was thirty-one, and left behind a wife and two young children. President Trump, a close ally, ordered all flags flown at half-staff until Sunday evening.

Kirk’s death was brutal, and tragic. It also had the effect that terrorists aim for, of spreading political panic. In the immediate aftermath of a killing with obvious political resonance, there is a period of nervous foreboding, as the public waits for news of the perpetrator’s identity and for any hints of what might have motivated the terrible act, and braces for the recriminations to come. But, as often as not, information brings no clarity. We have a fairly good sense of the politics that motivated Luigi Mangione, the accused killer of the UnitedHealthcare C.E.O., and James Fields, who sped his car into a crowd of counter-protesters at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, killing a young woman.

But attempts to define the political motives of Thomas Crooks (who tried to kill Trump last summer, in Butler, Pennsylvania), or of Cody Balmer (who has been charged with firebombing Governor Josh Shapiro’s official residence, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in April), or even of Vance Boelter (the longtime anti-abortion activist who, in June, allegedly killed one Minnesota state lawmaker, along with her husband, and tried to kill another), quickly become ensnared in the problems of their apparent mental illness or a more basic incoherence. Robin Westman, who stands accused of shooting and killing two children at a Catholic church in Minneapolis last month (and whose transgender identity was the focus of many right-wing media reports), had written “Kill Donald Trump” on some weapons, and neo-Nazi slogans (“Jew gas” and “6 million wasn’t enough”) on others, and expressed alignment with the Sandy Hook shooter, Adam Lanza. The motives were strange and idiosyncratic enough that they couldn’t easily be blamed on any one partisan side.

The effect of these violent acts on politics has been easier to track. Shortly after the news of Kirk’s shooting, the former Obama Administration official and liberal pundit Tommy Vietor echoed a common sentiment when he wrote on social media, “Political violence is evil and indefensible. It’s a cancer that will feed off itself and spread.” If that is right—if violence is contagious—then that is because each act generates its own responsive pattern of fear. The news itself in recent years has been a catalogue of the ubiquity of political aggression and anticipatory dread. In 2022, a man arrived at Brett Kavanaugh’s home with a Glock and padded boots; later that year, a man broke into Nancy Pelosi’s home and tried to murder her husband with a hammer. Threats against members of Congress have also escalated significantly in the past decade. The Republican senator Lisa Murkowski, of Alaska, said at a conference this summer, “I’m oftentimes very anxious myself about using my voice, because retaliation is real.” After the shootings of lawmakers in Minnesota, the Democratic congressman Greg Landsman told the Times that every time he went out on the campaign trail he was haunted by a vision of himself lying murdered. “It’s still in my head. I don’t think it will go away,” he said.

What politicians can control is how they respond. Speaking from the Oval Office on Wednesday evening, Trump denounced his perceived enemies. “For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals,” he said, and vowed to find those he deemed responsible for “political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support it.” Unlike Barack Obama, who sang “Amazing Grace” at a funeral after the mass shooting at Charleston’s Mother Emanuel church, Trump made no gesture toward common national feeling; he limited his litany of victims to those with whom he is aligned. The man sitting at the Resolute desk and blaming his enemies for political demonization—for acting “in the most hateful and despicable way”—had earlier in the week promoted a new campaign of ICE raids in Chicago with a social-media post featuring himself as Robert Duvall’s character in “Apocalypse Now” and the tag line “ ‘I love the smell of deportations in the morning . . .’ Chicago about to find out why it’s called the Department of WAR.” That aggression, combined with Kirk’s shooting, seemed to be literalizing the culture war, in real time.

The footage of Kirk’s murder is horrifying. His head flops; blood gushes from his neck. At a press conference afterward, the university’s police chief, who had just six officers to protect the crowd of three thousand, said, “You try to get your bases covered, and unfortunately, today, we didn’t.” It is hard to blame him. The ubiquity of weapons and the ease with which just about anyone can get them has made the protection of human lives increasingly difficult. That the threat of political violence is so endemic is one reason that what was once true of Trump’s movement is increasingly true of the country: it is distrustful, and feeling imperilled. In Utah, the people closest to the stage threw themselves to the ground quickly, and then so did hundreds of others, as they realized what was happening, in a wave that moved outward from Kirk. It was a visual manifestation of fear, spreading.

From Bluesky To Reddit, Democrats Celebrate Charlie Kirk's Assassination; Trump Slams Radical Left

Thursday, Sep 11, 2025 - 12:45 PM

Yesterday, TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking to a crowd of students at Utah Valley University. The murder shocked the nation - with heartfelt messages of love and support pouring in from around the world for a man that had become a powerful influence in the conservative movement.

Yet, as most of the nation reeled from the graphic murder, many on the left - after years of being primed by Democrat leadership to engage in violence against 'nazis' and 'fascists' - could not contain their joy at Kirk's death.

"You can tell a lot about a person by how they react when someone dies," Kirk famously stated on X in 2016.

The Democratic Party is dead. The Legacy Media is dead.

You helped that process along, and you continue to do so today.

MAGA Exposes Its Naked Cynicism as It Revels in Kirk’s Death

The retribution and divisive rhetoric that are the signatures of Trump’s second term in office are being served at the expense of the healing the country so clearly and urgently needs.

The murder of Charlie Kirk is repugnant. It is a tragedy for his family and friends, and our American society.

But this tragedy is now being compounded by the reactions it has generated. From our leaders, from the media, from the right and from the left, response after response has made future violence more likely—if not inevitable.

And in the hours immediately after following the Kirk’s killing during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, it became clear it would signal another dark turn, one in which we spiral further into brutality, loss and suffering akin to past such painful eras in our history like the political violence and conflict of the late 1960s.

Perhaps it will be worse than that. We cannot allow Charlie Kirk's death to rip America apart.

President Trump was among the first to respond to the shooting. He did so in exactly the wrong and most dangerous way.

This is unsurprising because he is both a symptom and an author of America’s current bloody and divisive mindset. His words and actions regularly celebrate, drive and even institutionalize cruelty and conflict.

“For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the worst mass murders and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism we’re seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now,” Trump asserted. He then promised find “each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund and support it, as well as those who go after our judges, law enforcement officials, and everyone who brings order to our country.”

Trump’s remarks were akin to those of autocrats throughout history who have seized upon a tragedy to claim even more power for themselves and to justify the use state-sponsored violence, already a signature of this administration.

He framed the remarks by citing as examples attacks like those on himself and GOP Rep. Steve Scalise, who was in 2017 shot as Republicans practiced for that year’s Congressional Baseball Game. But he neglected to note attacks against Democrats including, just months ago, the murders of Minnesota legislator Melissa Hortman, her husband and their dog. (Nor did he mention the school shooting that occurred also on Wednesday in Colorado.)

We do not know yet who committed the crime or why, though some reports, released Thursday morning, claimed that the shooter’s ammunition was engraved with “transgender and anti-fascist ideology.” But that did not stop Trump from jumping to conclusions and sending a message to his supporters that they were being targeted.

His words made it clear that he intends to use this incident to justify targeting not just the individual or individuals behind it but to expand further his on-going campaign to use every mechanism of government available to him to go after his critics and political opponents.

Further, referring to Kirk as a martyr was clearly intended both to elevate him from his role as one of the right wing’s favored provocateurs and to message to his MAGA base implying that retribution would be morally justified. It was a call that was heard and immediately responded to. Leaders from across the GOP joined Trump in assigning blame and exacerbating raising the temperature of unrest in the country.

The assignment of blame for the event to the stance or language of “the radical left” was also a stark irony given the fact that the president and the right have literally unleashed armies against American cities and incited their supporters to violence—whether on January 6, 2021 or when Trump has in the past called out to his “second amendment people.”

It did not and will not help matters that we live in a moment where social media makes it possible for almost everyone with an opinion to weigh in, often anonymously, and to lash out with threats of their own. (Or not so anonymously, as when Elon Musk maligned the left as “celebrating cold-blooded murder.”) Nor were matters helped by media coverage that almost immediately sought to rewrite Kirk’s history and portray him as some kind of champion of free speech in America. “His voice might be gone, but millions of fans will make sure his message is never silenced,” concluded a piece from The Washington Post’s editorial board; an op-ed in the New York Times suggested that Kirk was somehow “practicing politics the right way.”

Nothing, of course, could be further from the truth. Kirk was an extremist who once cheered on the lunatic who attacked Nancy Pelosi’s husband, said that the deaths of a few citizens were small price to pay for “our” second amendment “rights,” fanned the flames of hatred against immigrants and the LGBTQ community and once even condemned the very idea of empathy as a woke stain on our public discourse.

Charlie Kirk did not deserve to be gunned down, writes David Rothkopf. But he was also not only not a guy who practiced politics “the right way,” he was one of those who have brought us to being the society riven by violence and hatred that we are today.

It is possible to condemn Kirk’s murder and to report accurately who he was. Indeed, it should be obligatory. Just as if we oppose violence we should get to its roots and fairly criticize its authors regardless of political orientation—even if they end up becoming its victims. Just as we should push back vigorously against those, like the president of the United States, who seek to capitalize on one brutal crime to justify their own assaults on our people, rights and values.

We live in a dangerous moment. It is made much more precarious by the fact that so many of those in positions of influence and power either see that as an opportunity or, alternatively, shy away from the kind of honesty and moral leadership we so urgently require.
