Its a cay-tastrophe. I wish I knew the best thing for us to do to help, because I don't think going in there and starting another war is the answer, but whenever I say we should just let it alone I feel bad for the people there and I feel selfish, because it would be much easier to just stay out, better for us. But I don't think going in is a viable option either.

It's a brutal religious struggle. The Russians are backing Assad, because they don't want the truly hard core Islamic fundies to take over, and for Syria to go the way of , well... most of the rest of the hard core Islamic fundie Middle East.

It's basically Iraq all over again, sans so much oil.
