Many news items these past years say Russia and Iran are expanding in political regions South of the USA
Brazil is moving to Brics policy

There is already a history with Venezuela, Cuba etc

for a while it seemed relations might go Luke Warm-ish or kinda Normalize
then Nicolás Maduro came and it was worse than President Hugo Chávez.
