If Texas Gov. Greg Abbott truly wanted to stop illegal immigration, he would order the Texas Rangers to kill the "invaders". Abbott has the authority to pardon anybody who kills an "invader". A lawyer could argue in Federal Court that the Federal government can't charge Texas Rangers, doing as they were ordered by the governor, with murder. Abbott wouldn't have to kill many before the "invaders" decide Texas is too dangerous. Instead, they will invade California. But Abbott is not giving that shoot-to-kill order because he is not serious about stopping an "invasion". He is only serious about his political career as the next President (or V.P.) of the United States.
