I thought Germany was a democracy?

Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has come under fire for comments in support of Ukraine that critics say show contempt for the voting public.

At a panel discussion in Prague on Wednesday, the Greens politician explained in English that she had promised the Ukrainians to support them for as long as necessary and would therefore keep her word - "no matter what my German voters think."

I am against war and against imperialism, it was wrong, imperialist, war monering for Russia to invade, Putin is probably insane and Russia's politics stinks and I believe it should have been punished in some way I believe sanction could have been a way. However Germany and other EU countries were totally un-prepared, there is weak leadership from the Biden Harris Admin and a economy uncertain, supply problems, high gas prices. They want to damage Russia but in the end China, India, South America and others will continue trade.

Japan, Aus and NZ have also joined the blockade of sorts

Yet Russia trades with the Rest of the world

it could be a long war and what smaller break away regions or nations Russia imagines it can create will cost Russia much in treasure and blood, Ukraine might win but it will never be the same country.

Turkey will probably play both sides to try gain power, the Black Sea once know as a place of trade and vacation will be remembered as a Sea of Death.

I think the USA and participating NATO nations should be sanctioned for their illegal occupation/destruction of Panama, Grenada, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc etc. Once is an accident, twice is coincidence, three times is policy.
