And those countries in the region that are similarly disposed to celebrate America's defeat should also enjoy the moment while it lasts, for the coming collapse of the Taliban is likely to be more a curse than a blessing.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

To convince women that not having children is THE FREEDOM! WHEN WOMEN HAVE A CHOICE, they often choose to not have children, or if they have them, to only have a few, and to make others take care of them, even from birth - for example 'wet nurses' as surrogate nursing mothers. That's been going on since at least the time of an upper class of women who had their own substantial wealth and power. See "Mother Love" for an exhaustive documentation of numbers in France through the Medieval Ages on forward.

Quote: 'We have to send people into even greater danger to try to smuggle these Christians out who are marked not just for death, but to be set on fire alive because they are converted Christians.' His organization is now working to set up refugee camps in two other countries, he said, but he did not want to name them 'because I'm afraid our state department will call them and threaten them.' 'It's really really interesting,' Beck then mused. 'We have open borders and closed airports. One group of people are exploited, raped, and killed by drug cartels and the other group of people are raped, exploited or crucified by terrorists.

We gave them more than a fighting chance. In the end they failed to stand up when it counted according to our way of interpreting events. How is that our fault?

We gave them more than a fighting chance. In the end they failed to stand up when it counted according to our way of interpreting events. How is that our fault? The American military killed a family with a drone strike this week. This has happened thousands of times. Nobody in military will be punished for that, which is why America cannot win against terrorism. America's military won't stop killing the wrong people. For every wrong person killed, America creates who knows how many "terrorists". The longer the military fights terrorism, the worst the "terrorism" problem gets. It's too generous to say we helped Afghanistan by spending $2.26 trillion on the war in Afghanistan. The reality is, military contractors got rich off of those wars. We didn't just waste that money — we funneled it to the same people whose political donations will fund more pro-war candidates.

Quote:Originally posted by THG: Wow you’ve twisted yourself into a knot. Terrorism has never won anything throughout history; simple. And being so self-righteous leaves you out of any serious discussion as to how to navigate the world’s quandaries. You always pick the low hanging fruit to post about. War bad, military contractors got rich type bullshit. Of course war is bad. Tell that to those who would create the circumstances that induce it and stop condemning those stuck fighting it. And we'd all be speaking Russian and learning Chinese right now without those military contractors. They are needed even if they are a self-serving entity. With the first gunshot comes mistakes. It’s impossible to believe we’ll get it perfect. It’s also revealing that you always take the position of being criticizer and chief; never offering a path forward. T

The US gaining its independence wasn't far removed from terrorism. What the North did to the South was the same. But the history books are written by the winners and nobody who wins calls themselves terrorists. Had the South won the Civil War in our timeline, the entire perspective of the past would be wholly different than it is today. Today, Antifa/BLM are terrorists, but the Legacy Media today loves them, so they can't even bring themselves to call a riot a riot while talking about a single farcical incident on January 6th still nearly 9 months later. Terrorism wins all the time. We just don't call it terrorism after the fact.

Terrorism wins all the time. We just don't call it terrorism after the fact.I think THG might vaguely wish it didn't happen, but THG won't condemn America killing millions of civilians because that is unpatriotic. For examples of heaping piles of dead civilians: Vietnam, Germany (fire bombing), Japan (fire bombing and nuking), Philippines ( https://history.state.gov/milestones/1899-1913/war ). There have been other examples but the military is well practiced at shrugging off killing millions of civilians as being just as necessary as breaking a few eggs to make an omelette. Americans love those omelettes. Infamous video from Iraq: Collateral Murder, which begins with these words: Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give the appearance of solidity to pure wind. — George Orwell On the morning of July 12th 2007, two Apache helicopters using 30mm cannon fire killed about a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad. Two children were also wounded. Although some of the men appear to have been armed, the behavior of nearly everyone was relaxed. The U.S. military initially claimed that all the dead were "anti-lraqi forces" or "insurgents". Somebody went to jail over what happened in this video . . . the person who publicly leaked it, not the people who did the killings. I would add, any argument that people die during war so we should refuse to participate and that that would keep America safe, is again, drop dead astounding. I’ll admit to many a mistake made by the United States in my lifetime and before so long as I’m posting with others who present a well-rounded assessment. Not self-righteous rants. T

Quote:Actually, very efficient. The $8 trillion is being spent for AMERICAN weapons made by AMERICANS in AMERICA, not cheap imported Chinese electronics nor imported Korean autos, thus creating good jobs for Trump voters. And 927,000 dead civilians and "terrorists" are actually a waste stream, much like CO2 vented to the atmosphere from a factory. AMERICAN Factory owners want to minimize waste because that is efficient.
