I don't watch his show, so I can't say if it's any good, but man are his New Rule segments spot on.

And you can just tell that his audience is usually so stupid and brainwashed that they don't even know when they're supposed to laugh. He says stuff that they've been programed not to think.

Oh, I know...

The first time it really hit me was around 3 or 4 years back while out with my Dad and brother at a McDonalds getting some coffee with free refills. I don't have a cell, my Dad has a flip phone and my brother's got a smart phone but he never pulls it out when he's with other people.

But everywhere you looked, people were sitting together, but not really together. They all had their phones out. Young and old. It was pretty creepy, to be honest.

This was toward the beginning of my sobriety after 5 years of doing nothing but drinking and watching netflix when I wasn't taking a break from that by going to one thankless low paying job or another.

It hit me that before I disappeared into my drinking, people didn't behave this way, but now they do.
