I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.
Quote:I remember the exact moment roughly 25 years ago when I was brought in discussion and actually rioting over the statue of a general from WW2 which was about to be destroyed because for some people he was a war criminal and for others he was a hero and important political figure. It was a big event, and people were brought into that event in big numbers, arguing and fist fighting and rioting… At the same time, the wheels of big events were actually already starting to move, and if I were smart I would have left the country or bought a weapon instead fighting over a historical figure. Does this sound familiar? It was only one event that was used in order to polarize people more. “Us” and “Them”. It is so easy to manipulate people when you throw hate and fear in the game. Polarization makes things worse when SHTF because it is easier to “dehumanize” others that are different than you. Through the fear and hate, groups are pushed to do whatever the people in power want them to do, even if that means horrible crimes. Remember, once some group of people (religion, political, regional, race…) is dehumanized (for example through smart media work) the rules are changing and everything is possible.

This is lik the religious wars in Europe when people were killed over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, and other esoterica. It's so bad that not a single person on the so-called "resistance" (except JO, and he has left the board, sad to say) will even TRY to answer the question What are Americans' interests?. I think the reason is because the notion of "America" and "American" has become so foreign - the idea that we have anything in common has become so disused - that I may as well be asking What are emus' interests?. In fact, I'd probably get a more cogent reply on that. It's not that people are going crazy, SIX, it's that people are being DRIVEN crazy, on purpose.

Quote:The Joe Rogan controversy revealed something important about the American left
Quote:But Rogan’s popularity is owed in part for his vocal rejection of “political correctness,” which can take the form of transphobia (he once called trans woman mixed martial artist Fallon Fox “a fucking man”),
Quote:Transgender MMA Fighter Fallon Fox Breaks Opponent’s Skull
Quote:Transgender MMA Fighter Breaks Skull of Her Female Opponent. Are we Becoming too Careful not to Offend any Group of People?
Quote:Islamophobia (hosting guests like the far-right Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes, who used his appearance to argue that Muslims are too inbred for the US to accept as immigrants),

Quote: Watch: CNN Calls Trump Supporters Stupid Illiterate Rednecks on 28 January, 2020 Steve Watson Don Lemon howls with laughter as panel imitate southern accents This is CNN. During a discussion regarding the impeachment show trial, Don Lemon and a pair of talking heads devolved into imitating southern accents and declaring that anyone who can read or spell is an elitist, in an effort to mock Trump voters as stupid rednecks. In an unbridled show of arrogance, Lemon cackled while blowhard Rick Wilson and New York Times op-ed writer Wajahat Ali suggested that anyone who voted for Trump is an illiterate dummy. Wilson declared that “Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter ‘U’ and a picture of an actual, physical crane next to it,” then asserted that Trump is backed only by a “credulous boomer rube demo” of Americans. “Donald Trump’s the smart one, and there all y’all, y’all elitists are duuuumb.” Wilson shouted in a faux Southern accent. The arrogance, the dismissiveness, the smug cackling, the accents. If Donald Trump wins re-election this year, I’ll remember this brief CNN segment late one Saturday night in January as the perfect encapsulation for why it happened. pic.twitter.com/8kQ6zN9AZV — Steve Krakauer (@SteveKrak) January 28, 2020 “You elitists, with your geography and your maps and your spellin’.” Ali joined in, with his own redneck impression. “Your math and your readin!’” Wilson added, the hilarity in full flow. “Yeah, your readin’, your geography, knowing other countries, sipping your latte,” said Ali. “All those liiines on the map,” said Wilson. “Only them elitists know where Ukraine is,” Ali added. When Lemon finally composed himself, he admitted “I needed that.”

Quote:Originally posted by 6IXSTRINGJACK: Seriously. I'm asking the question. I just watched a youtube video by somebody who I actually like a lot, and something smelled wrong to me almost immediately about his take on a recent article written about a show called The Witcher on neflix and one of the characters who Twitter critics can't stop blowing and calling a new feminist icon that gave up the ability to have a child for beauty, power and sexual charms. What the creator of the video didn't get though, and I don't even understand how this is possible, is that the writer of the article was clearly applauding the fact that this woman in the show was regretting the decision that she had made because it left her unfulfilled. She was not one of the twitterati feminist critics. This is the article: https://www.eviemagazine.com/post/the-witchers-yennefer-shows-us-the-dark-side-of-feminism/ Are people becoming so entrenched on either side of any issues these days that their brains are becoming rewired to only read what they want to into what other people are saying? After reading the article and having a completely different take on it than the guy who made the youtube video, I clicked on the author in hopes to see a bio, and I wasn't disappointed: Quote:Faith is a writer, author, and stay-at-home mom. She has been published in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Daily News, and many others. Her blog, Princess State of Mind, and her YouTube show (of the same name) explore the feminist misconceptions of Disney Princesses and fairytale princesses in general. Her latest book, Saving Cinderella: What Feminists Get Wrong About Disney Princesses And How To Set It Right, is available now on Amazon. But in the entire video, none of this is mentioned. Faith Moore is just lumped in with all of the ultra-left feminist wack jobs on Twitter and Rotten Tomatoes, and even though he spends 25 minutes talking about the article he apparently didn't actually read it. Is Faith a feminist? I dunno. Her bio doesn't say that she is, but I suspect that she could be because she does put the titles writer and author above stay-at-home mom. She seems to know a great deal about feminism. She's certainly not a modern feminist in any event. (ie: Fat, angry pink haired weirdo spinster cat lady). 2020 had better be a year of change, or things are just going to keep getting worse. People on both sides of literally everything are equally guilty of this behavior. It's on full display in here every day, but it's everywhere now. If you see see somebody doing it, especially if they're on your "side" of a particular issue, call them out. For their own good. For everybody's. Make America Sane Again
