This is an impeachment process, an investigation. The committee is collecting evidence. Until someone is charged, the democrats and republican's in the room will question witnesses, gather information. If it is determined they are going to impeach all the hearings will be public.

You'll notice G the republicans are screaming about the process, as disingenuous as that is. They can't touch what evidence is being uncovered because the witnesses are too creditable.
