Is there a way to look up voting history for a Senator?

Since I don't regularly vote one way or the other, I get to benefit from having political mailers sent to me from both parties. I used to work in that specific field many years ago, so I have a good working knowledge of how voter lists work when it comes to spending money to a targeted demographic.

That being said, I had to laugh when I got my mail yesterday.

Two separate mailers. One a pro-Donnelly ad that highlighted how Donnelly works hard for Hoosiers at keeping jobs in our state. The other, a very negative ad against Donnelly from some outfit out of Washington D.C. that says something along the lines of "One thing Hoosiers don't want to Export... Their jobs."... and then claims Donnelly has made many bad decisions for the working class in Indiana.

Like I said, I used to work in that field. It's all a bunch of bullshit, and I don't trust either one of those mailers. I would love to be able to look at some sort of checklist that shows a brief synopsis of things that were voted on and how different Senators voted.

Please share if you're aware of anything like this in existence and how you might access it.

Thanks. I've actually seen that site before when looking at Donnelly back in 2016 or 2017 sometime.

I think I gave linkys in one of the threads about Tax Plan, Budget Voting, spending votes, likely around Feb 2018. That Roll Call sounds familiar.

I was looking at the Votes for the bill from fall 2017 and Feb of this year.

Info coming from Congress is not always easy to follow unless you already know what you are looking for and how it relates to everything else.

Although having a Conservative focus, there are more list-type summaries available. Searching "Conservative rating Congress" or "scorecard" gives quite a few results. I think ACLU and NRA have something similar, but I haven't found them highly useful for my data queries.

I have used Congressional Quarterly, which was published 4 times per year. But there is obviously a delay in info. I would find them in Main Library Ref sections, or University Libraries. The online version was phasing out the hardcopy editions some time ago, but the older votes should still be found there.
The online version developed into CQ Roll Call, which I think is now Roll Call. May have recently changed to something called Fiscal Note - not sure.

Those list-type summaries can get you the House Bill or Senate Bill number, or date of the vote, and can be used as a map for traipsing around the databases.

CQ and Roll Call go back to 1955.
