Quote:President Donald Trump, of course, has denied having anything to do with Russia, having tweeted, ten days before his inauguration, “Russia has never tried to use leverage over me. I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA - NO DEALS, NO LOANS, NO NOTHING!”2 But as this book will show, over the last four decades, President Donald Trump and his associates have had significant ties to at least fifty-nine people who facilitated business between Trump and the Russians, including relationships with dozens who have alleged ties to the Russian Mafia. It will show that President Trump has allowed Trump-branded real estate to be used as a vehicle that likely served to launder enormous amounts of money—perhaps billions of dollars—for the Russian Mafia for more than three decades. It will show that President Trump provided an operational home for oligarchs close to the Kremlin and some of the most powerful figures in the Russian Mafia in Trump Tower—his personal and professional home, the crown jewel of his real estate empire—and other Trump buildings on and off for much of that period. It will show that during this period the Russian Mafia has likely been a de facto state actor serving the Russian Federation in much the same way that American intelligence services serve the United States, and that many of the people connected to Trump had strong ties to the Russian FSB, the state security service that is the successor to the feared KGB. It will show that President Trump has been a person of interest to Soviet and Russian intelligence for more than forty years and was likely the subject of one or more operations that produced kompromat (compromising materials) on him regarding sexual activities. It will show that for decades, Russian operatives, including key figures in the Russian Mafia, studiously examined the weak spots in America’s pay-for-play political culture—from gasoline distribution to Wall Street, from campaign finance to how the K Street lobbyists of Washington ply their trade—and, having done so, hired powerful white-shoe lawyers, lobbyists, accountants, and real estate developers by the score, in an effort to compromise America’s electoral system, legal process, and financial institutions. It will show that President Trump, far from being the only potential “asset” targeted by the Russians, was one of dozens of politicians—most of them Republicans, but some Democrats as well—and businessmen who became indebted to Russia, and that millions of dollars have been flowing from individuals and companies from, or with ties to, Russia to GOP politicians, including Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell, for more than twenty years.

Putting your financial dealings with other countries before your duty as president, for example. Repeatedly lying about those connections is obstruction and abuse of power. You probably don't/can't/won't see that either.

Wikileaks got the contents directly from a NOT RUSSIAN, but someone who had legitimate access to the files ... ie, an insider. Until some investigator actually TALKS TO JULIAN ASSANGE, everything that everyone speculates about where the files came from is bullshit and garbage. The FBI NEVER examined the DNC server, they just took the word of a DNC-paid computer firm that "the Russians did it". Ahem! HILLARY's private server (a different matter altogether) on which she conducted State Department business and from which she BleachBitted 33,000 emails about "yoga pants" and "Chelsea's wedding" apparently had a foreign entity secretly added to the "distribution list", so SOME foreigner got copies of most or all of her emails in real time. Maybe is was China, maybe it was Israel. Some people speculate that this was done with Hillary's knowledge as some sort of "quid pro quo". Whatever happened, SOMEone should be investigating this.

Quote:Originally posted by 6IXSTRINGJACK: The point is that you are a hypocrite, and you believe everything that your liberal news tells you to believe. That's like SIGGY wrong. I must be missing something - what is "The Liberal News" telling me to believe about Hillary? In the Real, Factual World, the Clintons have been in DC and in public office for decades and have never been found guilty of anything no matter what the Republicans have run at them. But, since you have so much knowledge: If anyone has a case against the Clintons that can stick why haven't they been successfully prosecuted for it in all these years? Do you think those 8 to 10 Benghazi trails against Hillary were all legit? Quote:Originally posted by 6IXSTRINGJACK: Quote:They sure got you dancing and playing a banjo, don't they? Quote:Originally posted by SIGNYM: Quote:Continuing to bring up Clinton is a distraction attempt. If you believe that Trump must be held accountable for whatever dirty business dealings he had in the past, then you must believe that Hillary (and Bill) ALSO must be held accountable for past crimes. Right? I mean, don't you think it's just a little bit hypocritical (AND STUPID) to be harping over what Trump did 30 years ago, and then (when it comes to the Clintons) try to convince us that it's all just water under the bridge? A little more honesty and intellectual rigor would be appreciated!

Just see his post (above) Neither actually. In second's case you mistake attacking Republicans as defending Hillary. Similar with T - pointing out your tired, obvious tactic of attacking Hillary to deflect from Trump - the most dangerous and incapable president ever - is not defending her. Once again, your logic is deeply flawed. It's almost as if just causing friction and contrariness is all that matters with you. Huh....

Quote:NOVEMBER 2016 TO OCTOBER 2017 A Head-Spinning Start to the Trump Administration Russia largely dominated the national political conversation after Mr. Trump was elected. American intelligence agencies concluded that President Vladimir V. Putin personally ordered the campaign to interfere in the election. Questionable transition contacts and accusations of attempts by Mr. Trump to kill the investigation come to light. Mr. Trump started posting hundreds of tweets that denied wrongdoing and attacked the investigation.
Quote:NOVEMBER 2017 TO SEPTEMBER 2018 Trump’s Attacks on the Investigation Escalate as Federal Charges Pile Up By mid-September, dozens of people had been charged by Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel investigating possible links between the Trump campaign and Russian officials, or because of investigations that stemmed from Mr. Mueller’s inquiry. Mr. Trump denied the validity of the investigation in at least 174 tweets over this period.
