Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

The included videos are a little bit cute and a whole lot creepy.
Here's one:

Sigh. Chris Hedges. I wonder what he's up to now ... Let's see ... lots of broad claims that you either agree with or you don't.

You're all in by using any small bit of social media, ever. Well written, good summary, provides links and access to a pdf of the full report. Good, solid information.

widely reported in the past - links to a wide variety of sources. Goes into the 'casually track it' bin.

Meet Watson, AI, your new boss. Sourced to Bloomberg. The article is a near word-for-word copy of the Bloomberg article. If you 'believe' Bloomberg, you'll 'believe' this ZH article.

-fringe-now-charge-because-central-banks

Authored by Tyler Durdan without other ID, and quotes a source so obscure (or perhaps exclusive, it's hard to say) that search engines link to the site but have no independent, third-party information. jeez.

Based mostly on two linked articles from Time and The Atlantic. Checking out the ZH article, and the linked Time and Atlantic articles, the ZH article is a fair (unbiased) summary of the other two. Sadly, the Time article mostly quotes (but doesn't link) a 2-page classified document, and unnamed 'sources'. But The Atlantic article is replete with names and quotes, which are good material for background searches. The ZH article provides good support for its premise.

Wait! Haven't you claimed ZeroHedge was ... RUSSIAN!!!

SECOND is a troll because it constantly misrepresents what people post, fails to address their actual positions, and resorts to personal attacks when its brain isn't working (which is most of the time).

As long as you insist that everything is the Republicans'/ Democrats' fault, then you fail to grasp the REAL problem with American politics.

What did you think of the video?

I've seen some of their other videos before, and they DO look creepy to me. WTH would anyone develop these?

But then, I think ... battery technology has a long way to go, so I wonder what their "up" time is?

That reminds me of an old refrigerator that we had that used to shake so badly it would kind of "walk" around. We used to joke that it would go after people one day, and the punchline was I hope it has a short cord!

I was wondering about the battery, too.

I THINK the 4-legged thing with the knees that bend backwards is supposed to be a mechanical donkey for hauling loads over distance.

I wonder why the guy was using a hockey stick to manipulate the box-carrying robot and the box. It's like he was afraid to get within reach- or step- distance. Did he think the robot might grab for him instead of the box? Did he worry the robot might lose balance, flail, and conk him? He looked almost paranoid about being at all close.

Probably worried that the booger couldn't reliably distinguish between him and a box. Shape recognition probably not a well-developed module at that point.
