And even if you do own it, you're still renting it from the Government if you live in a dying state with ludicrous property taxes like Illinois. I chose where I live. I had a lot of choices available to me. I wanted to be close to family, low property taxes, plenty of space and to pay for the house with cash. The only choice I really didn't have in the matter was forcing somebody out of their house who wasn't selling. I don't understand your Real Estate analogy. You're right about the Primaries, but you're wrong about independent thinking. You're a neo-liberal sycophant all the way. You wouldn't understand it anymore than the neo-cons would. Do Right, Be Right. :)

Quote:[The] political “Khyber Pass” used to be controlled by the nonpartisan League of Women Voters, which gave serious consideration to third party candidates. But this angered Democrats and Republicans, who then teamed up to wrest control of the debates away from the League. The two parties accomplished this by creating the official sounding Commission on Presidential Debates in 1987. Within a year, this private nonprofit corporation had pushed the League aside and taken control of the debates.

Take your partisan bullshit and go cry to somebody who cares. The game is rigged and they're both equally in on it. Do Right, Be Right. :)

Do Right, Be Right. :)Sure, the game is rigged, but it was done by George Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Monroe when they wrote the Constitution. There is a list of 3rd Party Presidential Candidates going all the way back to before TV and radio. They all have this in common: they lost. The electoral college was set up in the Constitution to insure that they shall be losers. Nobody wins who is not running for the two major parties. This is how it has always been at the Federal level of America. www.presidentsusa.net/thirdparty.html The first 5 Presidents also wrote the Constitution. In their writing, they knew how to lock in power for themselves. And the 6th President? President John Quincy Adams was the son of the 2nd President, John Adams, keeping control of America within a small group of rich people. This is how things have always worked in America where there has been no room for 3rd Party candidates. Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.
