He told the fashion monthly magazine: 'Personally, I feel that if I were president, poise would be important. Leadership would be important. Taking responsibility for everybody. '[If I didn't agree with someone] on something, I wouldn't shut them out. I would actually include them. It definitely makes you realize how much of a shift there is in the type of actors who will run in the future. I'd have to think about it. I mean, the news coverage would be addictive as hell Might have the biggest female turnout EVER.

"Bedtime for Bonzo" fame. Yeah. You're right about that. I'm not old enough to actually know what Bedtime for Bonzo was, but I remember when I was a kid my dad told me about it. Nothing is a secret with the internet anymore but I'm willing to bet that in 20 or 30 years if the internet was never invented that this fact would have been erased from history by attrition. That was a very different time though. There was no reality TV back then and wouldn't be until the late 80s/early 90s when "The Real World" debuted. There was no Facebook or other social media. I think with how coddled and child-like our kids are by the time they get out of college if we vote The Rock in 2020, we'll have Kim Kardashian for President by 2036. I'm not old enough either but being in high school then I watched a lot of tv and so I know about those films from watching a little show called "M*A*S*H". No, I don't think that fact would have been "erased" as you can still find films from the silent era, so things from the '50s and the late '40s are still around. And would continue to be around. That is true. I grew up with just tv, movies and rock n'roll. Please, please, please I beg don't ever let one of the Kardashians think about that. I don't want to live to see it.

Yeah, my old man isn't old enough to have actually been watching the Bonzo movies when they came out either. I'm not sure where he heard it. I remember him watching re-runs of M*A*S*H* when I was a kid. He's probably somewhere around your age. I watched the original run of M*A*S*H up to the final episode.

Quote:Don't think I could sit through any of the shows from when I was in High school like Magnum PI or even old episodes of Dallas. Think I watched all of Dallas but was never a fan of Magnum. Though I do have a season or two of "Miami Vice" on DVD. And would love to find just Battlestar Galactica on DVD without Galactica 1980 included.

He was quite well known to anyone born before, during or a bit after World War II. He was a movie star. Served as president of the Screen Actors Guild, then as Governor of California (1967-1975) & President of the United States, 1981-1989. Olde people like me know these things. {I loved Magnum & never watched Dallas.}

Arnold and Jessie pulled off wins to become Governors, and didn't do all that great. If Rock is serious, he'd run for some state office, at least, first.

They both sell on Amazon; Battlestar Galactica (22 episodes, 28 hours) for $30, and Galactica 1980 (10 episodes, 12 hours) for $10. The original series dvd set includes an amazing 45 minute tribute to the show with cast members and directors reflecting on their experiences when the show celebrated its 25 year anniversary in 2003.
