Even right wing gun owners are given pause by the NRA's latest call to violence.

recruitment-video-that-is-even-upsetting-gun-owners/?utm_term=.fec3110b6740

“I’m an old white guy and a life member, but this BS is disgusting,” Facebook user Eric Eugene Rush commented under the post. “When you spew crap like this, you don’t speak for me anymore. I try to avoid doing things on the spur of the moment, but I’ll be thinking about canceling my membership.”

“Jeeeeesus … it almost looks like you’re encouraging violence against demonstrators,” Steve van der Lacy wrote. “Just let the police do their jobs when or if protests get out of hand.”

The video elicited a strong reaction from Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson, who called the video “an open call to violence to protect white supremacy.”

DeRay is right. Trump has long been the reason and excuse for the extreme increase in right wing terrorism that now plagues the US.

Right wing terrorism is the #1 form of terrorism in the US, and has been for decades. Note that the NRA ignores and denies that very real FACT.

I notice that the reichwing peanut gallery is silent on my fact-filled, non-lying post here.

Golly! I wonder why???

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

It was fact-filled?

It claims 'even' gun owners are taken aback, then quotes two of them. A whole two. Now, a poll of 1,000 NRA members indicating 70% disagreed with the NRA running the ad would make me take interest.

But really, it was an opinion piece of fluff that didn't inform me about anything significant.

Yeah... I own a gun, but I'm not a member of the NRA. Don't really know what they're about and don't care to.

Kind of an aversion to conformity and all of that.

Shame on them if they're actually promoting violence.

BLM and Antifa are pretty close to terrorist organizations themselves, so I'm going to take whatever they have to say with a grain of salt too.

There was no call to violence, not by the NRA. And certainly not " the latest ", since that would suggest they have multiple calls for such, and quite frankly, they never have.

Unlike the Left...

*ETA

Fact filled, non lying ?

Seriously, it's like you're not even trying to hide your trolling.

6string , they're not promoting violence. Shame that you even have to ask, and have seemingly bought into this 100% fake news story.

I didn't say they were. Hence the "if".

I didn't bother watching the video or looking at the article. Not going to bother giving anybody involved on either side of that a click.

Then why bother even commenting ? Seriously, not to sound snarky, but if you literally don't know what you're talking about, admittedly so, for the reasons you say, where's the point in saying I hope it's not a call to violence.

The NRA doesn't issue " calls to violence. ". Meanwhile, BLM leaders spout the most violent and targeted rhetoric, while Antifa are straight up about violence and vandalism. To compare the NRA ( of which I am not a member ) to the other 2 groups is pure folly.

Because that's what I do.

There's no reason for me to read yet another bullshit left-wing article making up a bunch of bullshit, or to watch a video from a right wing fixture like the NRA either just to have an opinion on it.

That being said, sarcasm doesn't translate very well, and although there was nothing dishonest in my remark "shame on you for...", it was said rather tongue in cheek. Not only because of the source of the article, but because of the person who posted it here.

The idea of simply owning a firearm to these people is akin to a call to violence. These are the type of people who look at a gif of Trump bodyslamming CNN as a call to violence. I can only imagine what they see any time they sit through any NRA video.

Why are you using real math? You must know real math only confuses Libtards. 2 Spacebook users must certainly speak for the entire membership, especially those who don't access the interwebs hourly.
