I'm done with this site and Firefly, good riddance We will miss you, but Mal and Kaylee are Canadians. They won’t be voting for Hillary or Trump. Mal did tweet something partisan: https://twitter.com/NathanFillion/status/784526154896142336?lang=en https://twitter.com/NathanFillion/status/784525641433710593?lang=en Anyone genuinely surprised to hear this kind of thing from Trump when you already know that he’d cozied up with Roger Ailes — after Ailes got booted from Fox News for treating the cable network as his own personal non-consensual harem —was clearly practicing a fair degree of self-deception. Trump’s sexist statements about Megyn Kelly and Carly Fiorina were out there for everyone to see, Alicia Machado tried to warn us, and anyone who’s been paying attention should not be surprised. Then of course there’s the matter of how Trump treated disadvantaged groups who are less numerous than women. He offered a proposal to ban Muslim immigration that’s so outrageous the man he later picked as his running mate denounced it as offensive and unconstitutional. Trump said Mexican-Americans are per se unfit to serve as federal judges, and continued to defend his call for the execution of the Central Park Five even after they’d been exonerated. We should be bonding over a common love. If we ostracize someone for thinking differently, we end up isolating ourselves from people who don't agree with us. And that's only going to make this country more divided.

Don't judge him on what he did 10 years ago, we need to judge Clinton on what her husband did 20 years ago. 4. He made those comments when he was a Democrat. 5. Bill Clinton has said worse things, so its OK for Trump to say slightly less offensive things. 6. He's a changed man from 10 years ago because he is so respectful of women now, like Rosie O'Donnell, Gail Collins, Megyn Kelly and Alicia Machado. Besides, he apologized and that makes everything OK now. Oh let the sun beat down upon my face; With stars to fill my dream; I am a traveler of both time and space; To be where I have been

That reporter could have covered an anonymous “Jane Doe” filing a federal lawsuit against Donald Trump, accusing him of raping her in 1994 when she was thirteen years old. Trump is a terrible person. He talks nasty about women. Hillary is a terrible person. When Bill went around horndogging and raping/ assaulting/intimidating/romancing women - and TO THIS DAY flies on the "Lolita Express" - Hillary went out of her way to publicly dismiss and attack these women. Trumps has stiffed some small business people. Hillary has had people killed and destroyed nations, and laughed and clapped her hands about it. You'd be hard-pressed to find a Trump equivalent. Trump has a sketchy Foundation. He has used the LEGAL loopholes to avoid taxes. HE'S A BUSINESSMAN, and has behaved like a businessman should. Bill and Hillary have their own sketchy Foundation, but unlike Trump - who uses his Foundation for business purposes - Hillary and Bill use their Foundation for their own political purposes (ie stuffing money into their pockets and political campaigns). For example, there is a Haitian activist who has begged NYS to stop allowing the Clinton Foundation to collect contributions from ("Steal money from" was her phrase) people because so much of the various Haitian relief funds under Bill Clinton have disappeared. Given the seriousness of the issues at play, should the Presidency be based on who has the biggest potty-mouth? I agree with KIKI: You people have lost the thread of your own story.

And YOU - the nice, caring, rational, liberal person that you are - are willing to go along with the lies and the indifference, to defend them, if necessary, in order to protect your opinion of yourself as a "nice person". Which is why you also have a big double standard stuck up your ass. If a Republican politician had said anything about "private" and "public" positions, we'd never hear the end of it. You'd be apoplectic from here until Xmas 2100. You have a brain. You even claim to be able to use it. Do you suppose you can use it for something other than self-rationalization? Hubby is right: Most Americans don't respond to logic, facts, ethics, or long-term interests. The only thing most Americans respond to is force. We will only change when we are forced to change, and since we won't change of our own volition, someone else will force it on us. -------------- I think it's time you disabused yourself of that pleasant little fairy tale about our fearless leaders being some sort of surrogate daddy or mommy, laying awake at night thinking about how to protect the kids. HA! In reality, they're thinking about who to sell them to so that they can get a few more shekels in their pockets.
