I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

The USA has come a long way since 9-11, has it not?

Maybe. What do you mean Sigs?

Back in those days I was still a kid who thought he would never die or get old. I broke laws and got away with it. Even though it's entirely unwatchable to me now, St. Elmo's Fire was in my top 10 movies even though it was made when I was like 5 years old.

Is shit better or is shit worse?

Nobody can say because everyone is biased. If you stripped humanity of every SJW cause and just left all of us completely sexless and raceless there were no other arguments, I still believe that everyone would say that things were better 20 or 30 or 40 years ago.

Things are just magic when you're a kid.

That's why people like Stranger Things on Netflix.

I won't say it was awful, but it wasn't much more than somewhat-good.

But it has the highest rating for ANY TV SHOW EVER MADE on IMDB.

It beats X-Files. It beats Breaking Bad. It beats Walking Dead. It beats Dallas. It beats Quantum Leap. It beats... well.... It just beats everything.

Even though it takes place in 1983 and many of the references in it took place later than that, the nostalgia factor for both men and women in their 30's today make this such a beloved show that they don't even notice how bad some of the other stuff was. Not only that, but they will apparently cut you for attacking them if you say it was shit.

I LOVED the first 10 minutes of it. Kind of brought me back to being a 7 year old when I had sleepovers or went to sleepovers and my friend's older brothers rented us scary movies.

The kids that acted in the movie were great. The teenagers sucked. The adults weren't bad, but didn't have much to work with.

I remember with almost crystal clarity the morning of 9-11.

Living in my grandma's basement at the time. She woke me up and I thought she must have been fucking with me. She's a fiesty old gal who loved Pulp Fiction, but that?

I remember waking up my parents via phonecalls and telling them to watch the news. I spent that morning telling my parents what happened.

Has the US, as a whole, come a long way?

I dunno.

I guess it depends who you ask.

I think the "State of the Union" is rather shitty and laughable today.

But then again, I'm 37 years old now, and perhaps I've grown a little cynical.

But who am I to rain on your parade?

Let the good times roll... ;)

Do Right, Be Right. :)
