Holy carp. I got lost in this new SHiNY place. I don't know how we got here, (must be the ff gods hard at work while we play twister!)but I like it. It's like the first day of school. Pretty new pencils and not one incident of having gone to the principal .......yet.

I went Saturday even though I'm not the biggest fan of supers in general. I went for Joss and Cobie Smulders. I did enjoy the movie maybe even a little more than I thought I would. But not apparently as much as the guy next to me who kept gasping and saying things like, "Oh no he didn't"

My favorite what? Scene? When Thor, Cap. America and Morton Downey were fighting over who got to bring in Loki. Avenger? I wound up liking Iron Man more than I thought I would but the Captain America portrayal was so wonderfully layered. "I actually understood that reference!" still I think Black Widow wins since she doesn't have the god like strength or explosive arrows and so has to solve problems by actually thinking. Also Scarlet Johansson in leather.

I went in as I said in part to see Cobie and while I liked her performance well enough I never felt like there was much reason for her character to be there. But again Cobie Smulders in leather.

Yeah her character seemed out of place. My favourite is Hawkeye. (he's like Batman with arrows.....don't tell Batman I said that ok?) I wasn't all that excited to see it either. I greatly disliked the Thor movie. I liked the Captain America movie even though it was so sad. Still I think of all of them the Hawkeye should get his own movie now too!)

I didn't really get a good impression of what Hawkeye would be like when he isn't being mind controlled or overshadowed by the bruisers but if they did do a movie for him that would mean more Johannsen in that leather jump suit so I'd go.

Well, I confess at least a tiny part (maybe not so much with the tiny) reason that I liked the Hawkeye character so much is cause he looked damn good in his get up.

However..... as much as I enjoyed The Avengers we are getting dangerously close to typing about something on topic (what with Joss being the creator and all....) so perhaps we should now get back to our regularly scheduled makes-n0-sens-to-anyone-but-us-but-not-even-really-to-us-we-are-just-to-stubborn-to-stop-posting thread!

We ran out of sugar this morning (had enough for today but nothing for tomorrow) and I can't get through the day without three cups of coffee liberally dosed with sugar. So I start walking to the grocery store to buy a bag. I get to the end of the alley when my legs decide they don't really want to be walking at all much less half a mile to the grocery store. Which is a problem but I decide that I can push through the pain - because need sugar for coffee - and press on. I get to the slightly nearer grocery store but they only have the one pound bags. No way I'm spending four bucks for one pound when I can get ten pounds for eight so I grit my teeth and walk the next block to the big grocery. And then I walk back home with a ten pound bag and already aching something fierce.

I got all but a block from home before it began raining. Not hard luckily and the sugar was thankfully not harmed.

And that's why coffee tomorrow will taste extra sweet.

Yipes! Hope you're legs have recovered. I actually think it's a brillant idea walking to the store to burn calories in order to make more room for sugar calories (the best kind)!!!!!!
