Rambling

Ok, so I like to be inside Jayne's rambling mind. It is not as bad as everyone says. Tell me what you think.

CATEGORY: FICTION    TIMES READ: 863    RATING: 9    SERIES: FIREFLY

S'not as if I can't make it on my own. I have afore. Well, not much, to be honest. Usually had a group. With a leader. Don’t matter none, gorram it! I can make it athout a Cap'n. No Cap'n, no baggage neither. People ain't got much use. Men are for killin' and avoidin' and women are for lovin'. That's their only fucktion. Er, function. Anyway, people, get em done quick an' painless. Yeh. That's my world. No one in it but me. Damn shame it can't never work out proper. I know it don't. I ain't that stupid. Sometimes a body needs others to get anywhere in this 'verse. Right now I need em. Mosta em anyhow. I guess. Mal cos he usually does know what he's about. And Zoe is mighty good with a gun. That comes in handy. The gorram pilot is right good too, even if I can't stand him for long. I don't really need that damn doctor though. Little pussy. Him and his sister are the start of all this trouble here. That girl is crazy, fine to look at, but don’t let her get near ya. She speaks all creepy and can kill a body. Anybody. She nigh offed me, though it shames me to say. Oh, and I don’t much have use for little Kaylee, she fixes Serenity up nice, and she's fun to tease, but I can do athout her. And also athout a whore I can't even be with. Oh, then there's the Shepherd. He's alright as a lifting partner, but otherwise he's jist too gorram thoughtful and religious. So I really can do athout em. Reavers and Alliance don't scare me none. I can take em. Any day. Well, I can steer clear of the Feds, about the rim… right into Reaver territory. Fight Reavers alone? Hell no. I guess it's best to stick with this crew for now. Serenity is reasonable safe. We can help each other. You know they'd be adrift athout me anyhow.

So very Jayne, especially that last line. Jayne's the hero, they're the groupies, gotta love that thought process.

Nice.

Memories of Snow
I never state the name, but it's an easy guess. It came to me after watching The Message. He talks about the dreams he had of his parents.

Momentum Chapter Three
Long-awaited continuation of a (still) unfinished tale. Wash centric. Read the first two chapters here: http://www.fireflyfans.net/bluesun.aspx?bid=10333 and here: http://www.fireflyfans.net/bluesun.aspx?bid=10354

Artist
A really short ficlet. Jayne's POV. (I'm writing again! Actually, I've just typed up some things I wrote during class last semester. I've a few more at http://www.fanfiction.net/u/652052/)

Betrayal
Mal's thoughts at Serenity Valley. Who's he most angry at, the Alliance or the Independents?

Smell
Inara reflects on the smell of Mal's browncoat. Very short, possibly will be continued.

Rocket
Wash-sadness. Zoe POV. I can't let the deathfic go.

Stranger
Watched the BDM. Got ideas. Wrote for the first time in a god bit. Mal, River, during the BDM.

Trip Wire
I watched the BDM today. This is a scene from it. Zoe's pov, dialogue from the script.

Stream
Yay! I wrote again. First in a long time. I think I wrote this from Kaylee's perspective, at least in Kaylee vernacular, but I'm not really sure why. I know it's short and prolly not very Kaylee, but I wrote. I also don't really know what it's about. Comment as you like.

The Chair (round 2)
Conpanion piece to my last post. Rive stream of consciousness. More post BDM Wash missing.
