All, All Alone
Monday, February 6, 2006

The picture is from the R. Tam Sessions, tweaked only slightly. The poem is "Something Childish, But Very Natural" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge (the same guy that wrote "The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner"- the poem that Mal references in Serenity when The Operative calls River an "Albatross"). I read the poem and thought of River at The Academy, lying awake at night, hoping and waiting for Simon to take her away.

Is it possible not to love this girl with all your heart? Or the artist who made this gut-wrenching art? "No" on both counts.

That poem does fit perfectly.
By the way. Where can I find the R. Tam sessions? I've only been able to dig up one of them.
