Gf modeling Kaylee get-up
Thursday, June 9, 2005

Ok, so here's how it is part #2: Here is one picture of my gf modeling her Kaylee costume she's wearing to the June 23rd screening. Yes, I know I'm lucky. Yes, I know you're envious. No, I'm not letting her go. Enjoy!

I have one thing to say, and I say it will all due respect.

That is the most fucking sexiest thing I've ever seen.

*AND* a heart. We're working on it, folks. Thanks for the comments.

Thursday, June 9, 2005 5:20 PM

Sorry, that shoulda been "needs a teddy bear AND a heart".

GF viewing episodes in slow motion, and doing freeze frame and the like.

Actually, I considered doing a River thing,(yes, that's me in the picture and I know what my bf has done) but I just can't see myself being comfortable in public wearing an oversized dress and combat boots...besides...I just added a heart and a teddy bear to the Kaylee's hoping nobody gets persnickety and shoots me...

She wears it well, I agree about the teddy bear & maybe pockets?

but, as a captian, you should look after a good mechanic, she`s what will keep you flying in this hell of a `verse

Persnickety? Well, that's not the word I would use. :)

Friday, June 10, 2005 5:12 AM

HA! Persnickety!!! All kidding aside, and while I have to say you have a comely girlfriend...That is an impressive costume.

Most impressive. Aw, come on...I'm talking about the costume!!!

Methinks this belongs in the Browncoats' Photo 'Verse...!

was she POURED into that jumpsuit or what? You, sir, are indeed a lucky man. That beautiful AND into Sci-Fi (or at least Firefly).

Friday, June 10, 2005 11:02 AM

Oh, you have no idea. She's beautiful, intelligent (scholarship recepient in college), artistic (has been playing with a major Symphony Orchestra since she was 17), into sci-fi and fantasy in general...

Plus, she cooks!

And let's not forget about the looks, of course...

And she's into computers!!!

Don't wake me, please!

By the way, I'm pondering posting a collage of a few more pics I took of her in the Kaylee outfit...

Friday, June 10, 2005 1:45 PM

May I ask where she found the jumpsuit? I've had the hardest time finding something that fits even half way...let alone THAT well.

Friday, June 10, 2005 2:35 PM

She found it at a store called "Rainbow", which specializes in women's clothing. It doesn't seem like a larg chain but it has a website : =) ((Note from the gf: the jumpsuit started out with sleeves which I had to take off and hem in so it wouldn't look all ratty.))

Friday, June 10, 2005 3:20 PM

As a side note: About the store I got the jumpsuit/overalls/whatever-you-call-thems at, I found them on clearance, so if there *is* a store nearby there's no guarantee they have that thing...there were only two left when I got there...but then they did have different colors and if you wanted to make the effort I guess you could dye one with that machine-wash dye stuff...oh, and it only cost $7 where I got it...=) Hope that's helpful...

OMG! There's a store not too far from me. Cross your fingers for me!

I found my coveralls at a feed store and I also needed to remove the sleeves.

Hope you find it! =D

If you read some of the comments, someone beat you to the River thing, I did a lot of work on the Kaylee thing even after the pic so sorry, folks, that's gonna be someone else's job.

Saturday, June 11, 2005 6:42 AM

Wow, that is a nice jumpsuit. I want one too.

Saturday, June 11, 2005 9:30 AM

I prefer her to Mrs. Staite - *G* She should be an actor :)

Sunday, June 12, 2005 1:51 PM

Thank you for saying where she got it from! I went there today and picked me up a jumpsuit. 7 dollars is a great bargin. I had been looking everywhere for a Kaylee type outfit with no luck.

Another Webcomic author is a Firefly fan
Wohoo!! Yet another Webcomic author shows himself to be a True Browncoat! Zach Miller, creator of the totally random and very funny comic strip Joe and Monkey originally posted this comic strip on 09/30/2005. You can see it in its natural habitat here:
I encourage you to visit his main site to check out his great work!

Wes Molebash is a Browncoat!
Who is Wes Molebash, you say? Well, he's only the creator of a great lil comic strip called "You'll have that." If you haven't checked it out, You definitely should, at

So why do I mention him here on this site? Well, check out this comic strip... check out the shirt and what it says...

Kaylee pic from Down under
Recently, Jewel Staite was at the HUB convention down under (Australia). This is a fan pic that I blatantly stole and resized to post here. You can view the original and *lots* more at

After viewing this pic I can only say one thing...

Me.... I'll.... be..... can't...sentence... properly....

Gf modeling Kaylee get-up part 2
This is a collage I made of a few more pics of my gf in her Kaylee get-up. They were taken at the same time as the pic posted on 6/9/05. Since these pics were taken, the teddy bear and the heart have been added to the jumpsuit by the gf. This is my first attempt at a collage, so if anything looks bad, it's my fault. If it looks good, it's because of her. She plans to wear this to the June 23rd Screening. Thanks for stopping by, and keep flyin'.

My gf altering her kaylee overalls
ok, so here's how it is: This morning, I was lucky enough to snatch two tickets to the June 23rd screening. The gf immediately showed her appreciation by jumping on my lap and smooching me. Then we went out and bought some overalls so she could do a Kaylee get-up. Here she is working on it. Gonna post her modeling it a bit later.

"Joss Whedon is my master now" Shirt
These are not by me. These are being done by Scott Kurtz, creator of the PVP webcomic.
This will be available in the Thinkgeek store in a couple weeks. Browncoats rejoice! You'll have these in time to wear to the Serenity movie opening.
