That's sweet! I had no idea that they even bothered wtih posters for the show - I saw next to nothing in the way of advertising...

(And what's with the fact that the comments aren't taking the codes?!? Very annoying - not to mention hard to read...)

I like this poster a lot. But what I like doesn't really matter. The makers of it prolly shouldn't have limited their potential audience with their verbage. They immediately shooed away people who didn't like Buffy and didn't like vampires. If someone were walking by that poster on a corner, with no previous Firefly knowledge, they would think it was promoting a new joss whedon vampire show. The words that "pop" are "Buffy", "Joss Whedon", "Blood" and "Vampires". They might have walked by before even getting to the word "space". I wish they had stuck with less specific poster wording. I think it would have had a broader appeal.

Maniac#1, You've probably pinned the reason why LOTS of sci-fi fans didn't tune in. It appears that Focks even then, didn't know what they had, and tried to sell it to too small of a specific audience. Let's hope Universal doesn't fall into that trap with the BDM.

Yeah, taht is a terrible, terrible poster in terms of advertising a new product.

Just putting Joss Whedon:Creator of Buffy is enough. The rest of that is just useless and does nothing to promote the (then) new show.

It looks great sure, but the words...
