I watched Space Cases too, but I didn't realize until recently that Jewel was Catalina. And I always tried to figure out how to get my hair to look like that.(okay, so I was a dumb kid and didn't realize it was a wig. :p)

Spotting Serenity
Awhile ago, my friend asked me to draw the Firefly characters in anime style. She thought it was cool, so I decided to make my own Kaylee anime style pic.

It's my version of Kaylee's first look at Serenity. I can just imagine Kaylee, who loves Serenity so much, spotting it coming to her planet and becoming awed by it and feel a connection to it. Kinda like how Captain and the other crew members seemed drawn to it...
