I mentioned this script on the message board, and a couple of you have asked me for the link to it, so to save everyone who is interested in time, I'll just post the link here: http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/8/25/1380756/fireflymovie.pdf. It may take a few minutes to download between your internet connection, the PDF format, and it's length.

There are lots of good scenes that never made it to the final script like the scene between Mal and River in the storage locker where she reads his mind or when Mal and Inara bicker about who saved who in the training house. Hehehehehe, good stuff! Enjoy!

It is easier on the eyes because none of the pages are out of focus or slanted. It was made with love and optical character recognition software from the xerox. And downloads faster than the xerox, too.

I read this a while back and then couldn't find it again, thanks for the file.

I love Kaylee in this version, she really tells Mal off and rightfully so.

And poor Inara, all her character moments were cut out and she was regulated to Mal’s girlfriend. Jayne’s crack about Zoe being Mal’s lapdog was new. I don’t remember reading that before; maybe I missed it the first time. I love how Wash was the one who confronts Jayne about it.

Thanks, that was great! I've read bits and pieces of this but never all in one sitting. SPOILERS AHEAD!

Loved when Kaylee tosses the beer in Mal's face and boy did he ever deserve it! It was kinda of strange seeing everybody live, Book and Wash in the final battle, and the Operative having a real name. But a lot of what made it into the final movie is there. Most of what got cut was the stuff with Inara and they changed a bit with the Haven scenes. And the scene when Simon tells Kaylee he's staying on the ship and she's part of the reason why...well, it was great, almost as great as what was in the movie, but still great! It's way too long though and had a lot of exposition and references to the TV show which were cut out. I can see why Joss had to drop a lot and make it shorter. Anyway, thanks again!
