I'm not going to take it from him anymore (venting on RL)

I can't take it from my boss anymore! He's manipulative, controlling, and he still hasn't (or refuses) to define exactly what my responsibilities are. It's been 7 months and he's still not letting me be the head of my department!

He was yelling at me again on Friday because I had made a decision without him on how to improve the work in my department, and in the middle of it all, he tells me that he's been trying to "mentor" me all this time. How can he mentor me when he's two doors down 99% of the time?? (And, this door is shut, mind you!) I don't want him to mentor me b/c I don't want to compromise my values and become like him.

After serious consideration, I'm going to quit my job. I'm in college and over the age of 24, which means financial aid is going to take care of my bills, so there is no real need for me to work. The only reason I took the job in the first place was to gain experience. After consulting several people in my field, I've learned that he is the exception --no one acts like this on a daily basis! It's just not worth my time!

Funny stuff. My only "nitpick" is that there is no "stin" sound in Mandarin. no 'S' and 'T' sound combination. Other that that, very clever.
Might wanna replace it with 'Suh' and 'Ting' and 'kin'.

Good for you!!! I think you're doing something most of us dream of; telling your boss where to shove the job!!! I'd love to quit, but alas, I have my wedding to pay for. I booked off my two weeks vacation for my wedding and honeymoon in April (not to mention I've never taken my vacation time in three and a half years). It was approved. Then my boss scheduled me to work over my wedding and honeymoon because she said she needed someone. I had to go to the owner and he told her I was to have my holidays so they wouln't loose me. Needless to say my wedding last weekend was wonderful, and so was my honeymoon. I don't want to go back to work on Monday!!!
